Sunday - Cloudy and cool
Last night didn’t end very well and this morning didn’t start well either. F’s alarm went off and he didn’t wake up. I had to shake him awake a couple of times. I went downstairs and then came back upstairs to see what was going on. F was dressed and getting ready to leave. He asked if I was going to come and then said I couldn’t…this sort of thing went on for a bit. I told him I planned to come so that we could go and have breakfast together. I thought it was settled. I dressed quickly…I had left my clothes ready last night so it didn’t take long.
We drove over to the car dealership and went in. We were seated and drinks were given to us. I asked F if he was ready to go for breakfast and he said he wasn’t going to go. He tried to give me some money so I could go, but I told him to keep it. For a while I said I wasn’t going to go to the nearby restaurant and then I realized that I did need breakfast so I just got up and said that I was going to go to the restaurant after all.
I walked over, and was seated almost immediately. I ordered and in a few minutes had an early lunch. They didn’t have the breakfast menu anymore.
I went to the washroom in preparation for leaving and there was F sitting at my table. I asked him if he wanted breakfast and he said he didn’t. So, we left. He did pay even though I really didn’t want him to do that.
Next up we went to AU, the cellphone company and made arrangements for me to get a new phone. I should get it tomorrow. I wanted a red one, or it would have been back with me tonight!
We were there for a couple of hours. It was a bit boring, but interesting too. I am worried about the price, but I do need to be able to reach F if I need to, and now I can’t really.
F wanted to go to fishing in the afternoon, so we stopped into the grocery store to pick up lunch for K and also F got a few fish bits from the fishmonger. We drove back to the house and F gave his mother her bento. I got changed for going fishing and then went downstairs again.
We had lunch at Arpeggio and it was really nice. By this time, we were getting along quite well and things were good with us. We both had the same lunch, their 10 dishes set and it was good. We had a lot of fish of course, but also some tempura, some chawanmushi and soup. It was nice.
We then drove back to the house and picked up a knife. F had forgotten to bring one. Then we left. We went back again for a chair to sit on. Finally, we were on the road and arrived a bit later at Yura. We walked down to a quiet area of the port and threw in some lines. F did my fishing rod first for me and I caught something right away, but it wasn’t hooked and got away.
A little later, F caught something, but that was all the luck we had. I did have a fugu take my hook (F says that happens often), but no fish. Sigh. Oh well, at least we had an okay time.
We stopped into a grocery store to grab something for dinner and the shopping for the next couple of nights. After that, we went back to the house. We had bentos all round tonight. I had a Korean style one, F had a steak bento on sale and we got a katsu-don one for K. They were okay. K had drunk most of the mugi-cha that I had made last night, so I had to have some of my water, but that wasn’t a big deal.
I also got to do the few dishes, but since there really wasn’t too many I didn’t mind overly much. Just a little bit!
We had a quiet evening in. F wasn’t feeling good after eating again and although he did ask if I wanted to go out, I knew that he didn’t want to go. Also, we have to go out tomorrow evening to get my phone so I won’t be stuck at the house all day tomorrow.
So that was it. My day turned out a whole lot better than it began. Tomorrow I should be getting a brand new phone so I’m feeling quite sad on behalf of my little iPhone which I’ve had for 6 years now.
