Tuesday - Cold and cloudy, a bit rainy early on.
I woke up with my alarm this morning and went downstairs, then came back upstairs. I watched the news and then had a bit of a snooze. Oops.
I woke up a bit later and did a couple of loads of laundry. Yay me. I got them done.
I watched a bit of TV and finished watching the Batman movie from yesterday. It wasn’t great! I also worked on getting my new phone set up again. I have most things done, but I’m having problems with my Kindle App. Oh well. I’m sure my books are all the freebie ones so I didn’t pay for them anyway.
Around 5:30 I went downstairs to start working on dinner. I did the dishes and then peeled a bunch of potatoes. I did around 2 pounds…Bah. I got them boiling away and did a few other things in the kitchen. When I tried to mash my potatoes with my masher it collapsed. I did buy it at the hundred yen shop, but I thought it’d last longer than two times I’ve used it! I finally got it all done and and was able to serve K and I some dinner. We had Bangers and Mash with sautéed mushrooms and a salad on the side. It was nice and K twice told me it was good!
We finished our meal and I had half of the dishes washed when F called to say he was on his way back. I asked him if he’d like some of the Bangers and Mash and he said he would. I made him a plate and warmed everything up for him, well, except for the salad!
He came, he ate and enjoyed it a bit I think, and then I did the rest of the dishes. I had told him that we had to go out to get some groceries so that’s what we did.
He changed, I changed a little and we drove off to the grocery store. We got some food for the next couple of nights. I’ll be busy!
We came back to the house but stopped into the drugstore to pick up some sugar and caffeine free Coke. I rarely drink it, but this summer I did a bit and I really enjoyed it so much! F got some sports drink mix and that was about it.
I went upstairs after we put stuff away and relaxed for a bit. I watched Criminal Minds and then turned off the TV. F went to a convenience store to pay a bill and then went to bed. He didn’t sleep for a while though.
And that’s it for me. It is quite cold tonight so I’m thinking about getting the heater cleaned off or my winter pyjamas out.
