Saturday - Rainy
We slept in a little bit this morning, but I got up around 11:00 am. F suggested going to a Japanese style restaurant for lunch and I was fine with that. We went, and had a nice lunch. Mine was more “brunch” than lunch I felt. It was bacon and egg on rice, plus some onion. I thought it was really nice! If I was in Canada we’d have hash browns instead of rice, I think I’d like that. F had curry with ham cutlet.
After lunch, we went off driving. F wanted to check out someplace that he has to drive to tomorrow. I’m afraid I slept most of the way in the car. F found the place and then turned the car around.
We ended up at the Aeon Mall in Mikawa today. It was good actually. F got himself a couple of work shirts and a tie, I picked up a few things for myself too. We stopped to have a drink and a snack at a Japanese style tea/ice cream shop. It was quite nice and we stayed a little longer than we should have.
F wanted to go to another 100 yen shop, so we left the mall and drove to the other place. We went in and picked up quite a few things. I got a new tray for the microwave, since my one was mysteriously warped when I came back from Yamagata. I got a steamer basket and some of my favourite snacks too.
After that, we drove back to Tsuruoka. On the way we decided to pick up bentos for dinner. We even went to “the good place!” Yay us.
We came back to the house and had our bentos. I had a chicken one with a sticky sauce on it and unfortunately it dropped on my lovely new floral shirt…twice! I decided to go upstairs and change into something else before I finished my dinner!
For a lovely change, F did the dishes. I didn’t pay too much attention to what he did, because I didn’t want us to argue!
We came upstairs and F tried on his suit. The pants are fine, but the jacket is a bit tight. Hopefully, he can get away with it. I washed my shirt tonight because I didn't want to wait until tomorrow or Monday.
Tomorrow, F has to go to work. I’m not sure if he’ll be working just half a day, or a full day, he doesn’t even know. He has a very early start too. I feel sorry for him about that. Not enough to get up early with him, but sorry nonetheless!
I watched a little bit of TV, Bull, and then turned off the TV. I’ve been trying to get things done a little early so I can get to bed before too late. On one hand, I don’t care, but I don’t want F to be woken up too many times.
Anyway, that’s it for me for tonight. I don’t know what I’ll get up to tomorrow, just come on back and find out! Until tomorrow….
