Wednesday - Rainy, snowy and windy, but warmer

I woke up before my alarm this morning, that was a bit of a surprise. I went downstairs and then came back up and watched the news, followed by the earlier in the day news. I think I fell asleep on that as almost usual.

I got up and got moving, grabbed breakfast and came back upstairs. I ate and then watched a little YouTube. I went outside around 12 and did a bit of snow-shovelling. The snow was terribly heavy today because it was so full of water. I got the parking area cleaned out, a way onto the road, and the house steps, so I think I did a good job. 

I came back inside and went upstairs. I relaxed for a while and watched a bit of Shameless from last week. I went downstairs and grabbed my lunch and then came up and ate. I finished Shameless too. 

I watched the news and a bit after 5 went downstairs and washed my dishes from the day. F called while I was doing that and we discussed dinner. Since I didn’t have a restaurant picked out, we decided on bentos from a chain store. I had looked at their menu earlier in the day and picked something out. I told him and he decided that he’d have that too. He ordered on his phone and then went to pick up some groceries too. I did a little prep for dinner again, I rinsed some blueberries for us and boiled the water in the kettle for soup.

When F showed up a bit later he had the food. We were basically ready to eat. He made the miso soup for himself and K, I had cream of mushroom soup.  The fried chicken I had ordered was great and K liked the bento that F had got her. F had brought back some ice cream so tonight we had ice cream and the last of the blueberries for dessert.

I still got to do the dishes, but I was quite happy since I didn’t have to cook tonight. I went upstairs after I finished and F came up a little later.

I took a shower and then watched tonight’s Shameless episode. F fell asleep fairly early, he was tired. However, he has hidden the light switch somewhere and I won’t be able to turn off the overhead light in the bedroom! Oh dear. I have an eye mask so I’ll be using it as usual. 

And that was my day. It was quite nice and peaceful. Tomorrow is a national holiday, so F is off work, but we have no plans. I wonder what we’ll get up to. Come on back and find out! Until tomorrow….
