Monday - Rainy and colder, so windy at night

I woke up when F was getting ready for work. He was downstairs so I’m not sure why I woke up just then. I made a trip downstairs and stayed up until F left. Then I went back to bed and slept quite a bit longer. I got up finally and got on with my day.

I had breakfast and watched The X-Men: The Last Stand again. It was great, so tragical. 

I really had a quiet day around the house. I did finally do something that I’ve been thinking of doing for a while. I took 5 things out of my closet and tried them on. I was really surprised, but they all fit so they got to go back in. I’m trying to weed out a few clothes so I have more space in my closet. I really should wear a few more of the clothes in there, don’t know why I don’t.

I had lunch in the afternoon and then watched an episode of The Walking Dead. It was a good one, but a bit sad. 

After the news I spent some time on my computer and then went downstairs to start dinner after F called. Tonight I did steamed Brussel Sprouts, pasta on the side, salad and orange chicken. It went over quite well and everyone seemed to like it. I even had enough leftover to make K a dish for her lunch tomorrow. I hope she eats it!

After dinner I did the dishes and listened to a couple of podcasts. I listened to the CBC news and then part of a podcast done by a high school friend. It was interesting.

I came upstairs and there on my computer was a box! Surprise. I opened it and there were some cakes and cookie kind of things. It was my Valentine’s Day present from F. It was a nice thing. I made some tea and F and I had a cake each. F gave me some of his chocolate that I had given him, so we had a nice couple of snacks.

I didn’t watch any TV at all tonight, but that’s because there wasn’t anything on. I caught up on a few YouTube videos and just tried to relax. The wind is really fierce outside, we’re under a Windstorm Warning Alert at the moment. The house is shaking and I just heard something fall outside. I think it was the snow “dump”. I don’t think it’ll go too far.

I did some crochet tonight while I watched YouTube, that was nice and relaxing. I got another band of colour done. Yay me. I should measure it tomorrow to make sure I don’t have to rip it down again!

Well, that’s about it for me for tonight. I have no idea what I’ll get up to tomorrow, except it is Pancake Day so we’re having them for dinner. I hope it works out!
