Sunday - Hot, sunny, yet muggy
This morning, I actually got up early-ish for me. I got up around 10 am so that I could get ready to go out with F at 11am. I got dressed and was ready to leave with F.
In the mall, I got to have fun! I went to the hundred yen shop and did a little shopping for myself. I got some of my snacks and picked up something for the kitchen. I bought a packet of clips for packages of food that I open. I’ve been using them up in my room for some things and they are really convenient.
I went to the grocery store and also to the coffee shop. At the coffee shop, I found a quiet corner and had a decaf soy latte. It was very nice. F called me to say that he had finished his massage. He came down to the mall and visited me in Doutor. I asked him if he’d like to have a drink, but we decided that we’d rather go for lunch. We popped up to the hundred yen shop again to pick up a new glass since F broke one of ours this week and it’s nice to have 4 glasses. I got a new cushion for my chair too. The one I had before doesn’t have much cushioning left!
Today for lunch, F suggested going to Foodever. It was a good idea. It wasn’t busy and we could both have what we wanted. I had pasta from Yaku and F had kara-age from the donburi place. I loved mine, F was only so-so about his. Mine was expensive but bigger than I expected.
After lunch, we decided to go to Homac to try and get some drinks for K. We often pick up a case of her favourite soda for her. Today, F decided not to get her soda though, he got her green tea in a can. I suggested a non-caffeine tea, but he didn’t want to do that. K goes through two or three cans of soda a day. I don’t think it is good for her really.
F went to the men’s room and I looked at the secondhand DVDs. I actually found one that interested me so I got it. It was Stardust. It’s a fantasy film from a few years ago that I watched on cable. It is quite a fun film. I hope I’m able to watch it soon.
We came back to the house and unloaded the car. I put a few things in the kitchen and then headed upstairs. F gave his mother the drinks and came upstairs too.
We ended up on the bed and I napped for the next two hours. It was really hot (but not Alberta hot…holy hot home Batman). When I woke up, I suggested that we go out for dinner. We decided to ask K if she’d like to go too. She would. We agreed on Youme-Shokudo, but when we arrived there, the place was closed. F suggested Udon-Ichi and I was fine with that.
We went to Udon-ichi, it was open, and we had our dinner there. It was really nice. Each of us had a different dish. I had salad udon and I really liked it. It had quite a vinegar flavour.
F drove us back to the house when we were finished dinner, then dropped K off. We went off to pay a bill. F paid our internet bill….late! Ack. I am getting a little upset about that.
We got some drinks at the convenience store and then went to the grocery store. I picked up a few things for dinner for the next couple of nights. I’m going to do chicken salad tomorrow night and pork sauté the night after that.
F got gas for the car and kerosene for the water heater and then came back to the house. We relaxed for a bit and then he had computer trouble. I was trying to help him, but he has no idea about his computer AND it is in Japanese. He won’t consider switching it to English for a while to let me help him. We got some things working but honestly, I think it might need a thorough going over by the Mac service store. I’m not sure about that though.
I watched Project Runway, which I really enjoyed tonight and then turned off the TV. I want to try and go to bed a little earlier than usual as F needs to get up early.
