Tuesday - Cloudy but warm, rainy at night

I got up this morning and went downstairs. When I came back to the room I got dressed right away for a change in case K decided to act up this morning. I still watched the news and snoozed a tad.

In the early part of the day, K and I never came face to face at all.

I had my breakfast and then I took a short nap.  A little while later I had my small lunch.  After that, I started getting ready for my classes. I set up my desk and chair, moved my laptop and then got changed.

I had two classes today, I think they both went well. I’m hoping that I’ll be able to teach in person next week. 

After my classes were over, I contacted F. He’d texted me when I was still in class. We hadn’t heard from the doctor’s office yet so he said he’d phone when he finished work. 

I spent the next hour or so changing back into regular clothes, taking apart my “classroom corner” and then doing paperwork. 

After that, F called me and told me that he’d called the doctor. My test was negative, so that was a big relief. I thought it might be, but of course, I couldn’t be sure. F also said he was on his way back to the house.

I went downstairs and started getting ready for dinner. Tonight I did pork chops, roasted okra, mushrooms and salad. K and F both got rice with their meals too. Oh, yes, and there was some leftover tofu in the fridge so we had that too. 

Dinner was pretty good, even if I say so myself. There was very little leftover afterwards!

I cleared the table and then got on with the dishes. I listened to my podcasts while I did that and didn’t take too long. I was finished before 9 which was a good thing. 

I went upstairs, changed my clothes again to ones that I could wear out and then F and I went shopping. We ended up at MaxValu and I bought a few things for dinner. I’m going to do chicken tomorrow and make chicken soup on Thursday I think. At least, that’s the plan for now. 

We came back from the grocery store via a convenience store to pay a bill. We bought some ice cream too. Yay us. 

At the house, we put away the groceries and then came upstairs. I had a quiet evening really. I watched the last bit of the 4 pm news and then an episode of The Worst Witch.  I followed that up with the first episode of Prodigal Son’s second season. I enjoyed it but think it is getting even darker this year!

And that’s about it for me for today. It was a pretty decent day. I’m not sure what is going to happen with K. I think she might forget all about it, but I’m not sure. She spends so much time in bed these days that I worry about her. I’ll take things slowly and see what happens.
