Monday - Cold and snowy again
I slept in this morning, except I did talk to F early on. I think he got up and probably made breakfast for his mother and himself. I waited until later for mine.
I had an okay, if quiet day today. I got a couple of birthday cards in the mail, that was nice. I didn’t feel all that well this morning, but I felt better a little later on.
After my lunch I did go for a nap because I was a bit groggy, I think I slept for about an hour or so. With the Olympics they have taken off all of the foreign news, it is like Japan thinks nothing else could happen in the world except sports. Bleck.
Fumihiko and I both had a hand in making dinner tonight. I did roasted potatoes and onions, plus I microwaved some garlic pilaf, F cooked the gyoza that were in our freezer. He didn’t do a great job! He blamed my spatula for not being hard enough, but I think the truth was he just didn’t cook them well enough. They stuck to the pan and I wouldn’t let him use a metal spatula on my ceramic pan. I’m so mean not to want to scratch it.
The good thing is that after dinner he did wash most of the dishes, not all of them though! He walked off leaving a few on the side and, well, I just did the rest. It was nice to have help though.
I went upstairs and watched some YouTube, F came upstairs after a bit. I took a shower and then watched The Good Wife. I think there are maybe one or two more episodes left? I will miss it on Monday nights, that is certain. F took a shower too.
And that’s about it for me. Tomorrow afternoon I have my class, online of course, and then I may have to make dinner, we’ll see what happens. Come back later if you like and hear all about my day. Until tomorrow….

When does the snow finally stop???? We have cold and 2 or 3 snows during the winter, but nothing like you.
Happy Birthday, hope you have a lovely week. Sorry you didn't get your planned getaway. At least your husband is there to celebrate with you.

Thank you! Hubby being around is both a good thing and a bad thing ;-)
When I was offered Tsuruoka as a place to come to all those years ago, no one told me about the snow! And yet, some winters we hardly have any....last year there wasn't too much at all. This year we made up for it.
Thank you for visiting!
Happy belated birthday! This year, since you couldn't get away, you definitely need a "half birthday" in August involving a fabulous trip.
I'm hoping to do a little trip sooner than that, but it depends on the Covid situation in the region. Also would like to get my booster shot sometime too.
Thank you for the birthday greetings! This wasn't the birthday I expected this year.
