Thursday - Sunny but a bit muggy, warmer
I went to bed a little early last night, and read for a few minutes before going to sleep. I think I woke F up a little, but I think he fell asleep again soon!
This morning I woke up and got up right away. I had my usual morning, I watched the news and also sorted my laundry this morning. I did take a bit of a snooze, but then took the first load downstairs and started the washing machine.
I had a fairly quiet day again today. I hung the laundry up in my room and that’s about it. I watched a couple of shows today too, another episode of The Mentalist and then I tried a new show, The Tick. It was quite funny. When I was still living in Canada I used to watch an animated The Tick and it was hilarious.
F called a little after 5 so I went downstairs eventually and started dinner. Tonight I did a simple dinner. I air-fried some chicken, cooked a few potato patties and washed some lettuce to have a salad. We were able to sit down before 7 pm which was quite cool.
After dinner, I did the dishes and when I finished went upstairs. F and I went out and got some groceries. Since he was having knee problems tonight I suggested that he go to the drugstore to get more masks and I would go to the grocery store to get the groceries.
I picked up a few things. I didn’t get too much. We needed salad, some breakfast for F and K and a protein source for our dinner tomorrow night.
F and I next had to go to a gas station and get some kerosene. Yes, it is really warm now so we don’t need our heater, but the water heater runs on kerosene, so we still need it. For some reason, our usual place is doing construction in the area so we couldn’t go there. The next place didn’t sell any, but happily, the place after that did. F got one tank.
On the way back to the house, I got F to let me do a conbini run since I was looking for something for later. He stayed in the car.
We came back to the house. I put the few groceries away and then went upstairs. I watched half of Bake Off and then a bit later The Rookie. I enjoyed that one. It was done as a documentary which was quite an interesting way to do the show. I did a couple of rows of crochet while I watched. I had to change some of the yarn too. Yay!
F is sleeping. He’s had a lot of pain in his knees today. I hope he doesn’t have a busy day tomorrow at work.
That’s about it for me. I do have at least one load of laundry to do tomorrow, and I have to cook dinner so there is that.
