Tuesday - Hot and humid, rainy too
I got up this morning a little late. I think I had heard F this morning but didn’t really wake up. So, I sort of overslept but it was fine.
I got up and watched the news, I got dressed a bit early. F had told me that his sister would come and pick up his mother today so I didn’t fall asleep. When I heard the doorbell I went downstairs and said hi. F’s sister brought over some veggies, I put most of them away. K took some too. They left and I went back upstairs.
I ate breakfast and then I took a nap. That was lovely! There was still building going on outside, so it was quite noisy.
Later in the afternoon, I grabbed lunch at a decent time then watched an episode of The Mentalist and then last week’s The Handmaid’s Tale. It was quite good.
I heard K bopping around downstairs so I knew that she had come back. After the 4 pm news, I went downstairs and washed my dishes. I came back upstairs and relaxed for a while. I thought about what to do when and if F called and decided that enough is enough. I’d just talk to him.
So, he did call and I reminded him that I hadn’t bought any food for him and his mother for tonight. He asked if he should get bentos and I said it would be nice. He tried his favourite place, but of course, they were closed. He said he would try another place. I checked their menu and sent F a picture of the things I wanted. I gave him a couple of ideas for me because I wanted something a little expensive. If he thought it was too much, he could give me the cheaper version.
He showed up with the bentos and we had a nice dinner. He got me the bento I wanted, a big chicken cutlet with curry. It was pretty good. The curry was nice but quite mild. I did like it though. After we finished eating I got to clean up. I didn’t mind too much as there wasn’t a lot to do. F wasn’t feeling great, he’s had a bad few days.
I went upstairs and got changed to go out. F came upstairs and then we left. We ended up going to Mina the grocery store nearby. F didn’t come in, so he gave me some money and I did a little shopping. I had a list and I managed to get everything on my list and even some noodles for F. It’s difficult around 9 pm to get things like salads as the stores seem to sell out of everything these days.
I paid and then came back to the car. We drove back to the house and came in. Oh, I forgot! When we left the house, there was a tiny little frog on the top of the car. I told him to hang on and he did! He was still there when we got to the grocery store. He was still on the roof when I finished shopping. I was half afraid that he would jump on me, but he didn’t. He even hung on to the car on the way back. I hope he jumps off overnight and stays in the greenery near the house. At F’s office, it is a concrete parking lot so there won’t be any shade and a bigger chance that someone (or something) will try to hurt it.
I put the groceries away and then came upstairs. I ended up watching an episode of The Boys from Prime and then FBI International from the regular cable channel. That show is growing on me a tad. It hasn’t become a Pro-US/Down-with-Europe kind of show. At least not yet.
So, F and I are talking again. I hope that we are okay. I really should explain to him sometime why I was so angry with him, but that might not help.
Anyway, I have to get to bed now. I’m tired. Come back later if you like and hear all about my day. Until tomorrow…
