Friday - Cold and rainy and dark
F had put a quilt on the bed last night and it reached over my half of the bed a bit. I was about half covered by it. Luckily I was warm enough. F didn’t wake me up this morning, my alarm did. Hurray.
I went downstairs and then came back up to watch the news. After the news, I took a bit of a nap.
I got up earlier than I usually do and took my clothes downstairs to wash. However, I got halfway down the stairs and realized that K was doing laundry. Pipped to the post! Oh well. I could wait a little while. K is pretty good about taking her clothes out when she’s done, and today was no exception to that.
It was quite cold up here in our room today, so I cleared the space around the heater and turned it on. It was cold today and the heater really helped.
When I went down to pick up my clean clothes I asked K if she’d like some soup. I had bought a carton of soup a few days ago, and we all had some on Wednesday. However, there wasn’t really enough for the three of us, so I gave K a big cup of it. She wasn’t using her heater, so I thought she might like something warm. She accepted so that was good. There was still a bit left over for my lunch too.
I hung up my clothes and after a while went down to get my lunch. I heated up soup for myself and brought my lunch upstairs. Lunch was great, as was the episode of Bake-Off that I watched!
I watched the news and while I was watching it, packed a few things from my clean laundry into my suitcase. I still have a few things that I need to pack but I’m getting there! I’m hoping to send my suitcase to the hotel on Monday.
F called at 5:30 and I went downstairs to make a start on dinner. Tonight was pancakes and sausages with salad. I started by washing dishes and obviously, I had to wait until F came back to the house to start cooking. When he came back, I got things underway immediately and soon had some pancakes and sausages on the table. F and K just do not get the whole concept of eating pancakes when they are hot. I gave them some from the first two batches, I came back five minutes later and they still hadn’t eaten them! What!!!
I did the dishes after dinner and F went out to get kerosene and milk. He called me to see if there was anything else I needed, but there wasn’t really.
I went upstairs after he came back and relaxed for a while. I fell asleep at my computer for a couple of seconds. Oh, dear. F didn’t come upstairs until almost 11pm. Yikes. I went downstairs and took a shower. I came back upstairs after that.
I’ve spent most of the rest of the evening on my computer. I’ve been reading, writing and watching YouTube videos.
And that’s it for me. I’m not sure what we’ll get up to tomorrow. You’ll just have to come back and see. Until tomorrow….

Well, you convinced me to start watching The Tick! My husband and I have been watching an episode a night (only 2 so far) on Prime and so far it's interesting and funny. We're also into the new season of Great British Bake Off on Netflix, but those are only released as one episode per week. The news has been so consistently depressing that we need some easy entertainment. Hope you're doing well!
Hurray for watching The Tick. I hope you like it. It's almost a kid's show, but then someone lets off a stream of bad language or does something over the top and then I realize that it really isn't!
My Prime has the older Bake-offs. I'm actually re-watching something I saw on regular TV a couple of years ago, but I don't mind. There is a Japanese version of Bake-Off too, but I've never watched it as my Japanese isn't up to it!
Thanks for visiting and commenting :-)
