Tuesday - Warmish and rainy

I went to bed a few minutes earlier than I have been for ages and managed to sleep quite well, so that was good. I really didn’t want to get up this morning, but of course, I did. 

I got up, went downstairs and then put on the news. I turned off the TV at 9 am and took a snooze.

I went downstairs to grab my breakfast, but F’s sister was there again!  I hadn’t heard the doorbell this morning. I did talk to her a little this morning. She was dropping off some food for her mother. I asked her if she’d please date the food that she brings. K never tells me when her daughter brings food but since I clear out the fridge, I need to know how old the food is! She left us some pickles and some cakes for K. 

I grabbed my breakfast and then went upstairs to eat. I watched some YouTube as usual. I went downstairs and grabbed my lunch a bit later. I also set the heater to come on later. 

I had a quiet afternoon. I watched another episode of The Great British Sewing Bee and enjoyed that. I followed that up with the news. F called soon after 5 and I went downstairs and started to prepare dinner. When F got back I asked him how soon he wanted dinner. He requested 7 pm, so I did my best! Tonight we had hamburgers with cheese in them, shrimp pilaf, salad and beets. We also had a few leftovers from the Christmas meal although some of them are getting a little older! For dessert, we had a tiny little brownie that F and I bought the last time we went shopping together at Gyomu.

After dinner, I did the dishes. I listened to some podcasts and then went upstairs. F was watching something on TV in the living room. I think it was one of those silly gladiator-type things where people do an obstacle course. I don’t like them. 

Upstairs, I watched a bit of YouTube and then F came upstairs. At 11 I watched FBI: Most Wanted. It was okay. I found the American Music Awards and watched for a few minutes, but I wasn’t enjoying it enough to keep watching.

And that’s about it. Tomorrow F is off to his New Year Party with his friends and I’m on K-duty. He did order us food, so I don’t have to make good on my threat to not be here on Thursday!
