Sunday - Rainy and cold

I went to bed very late last night. I decided not to set an alarm for myself. I have a reminder alarm at 11 am so I decided to leave it as my alarm. I slept so well.

F got up around then and made his mother something to eat. He said he wasn’t feeling too well, which is sad. I got up and got dressed. I hoped we’d go for lunch soon, but we didn’t. Sigh. It wasn’t until after 2 pm that we went out. Poor F still wasn’t feeling well, so we just went to Gusto and he had dessert and drink bar, I had lunch.

After lunch, I popped into Gyomu Supa next door, picked up a few things and then went back to the car. F drove me over to the grocery store and I picked up some food for the next couple of days. I picked up a couple of things for K’s lunch and possibly dinner tonight, and some dinner fixings for Monday and Tuesday.

We came back to the house and stayed for a while. I put the groceries away and went upstairs. F came up later and we had a quiet evening for a bit. I watched some YouTube and relaxed a bit too much. F asked me around 8 pm if I’d like dinner. The problem was that it was so late that most places were closed. I checked out Google Maps and picked a couple of places that might be open. I ran them by F and he picked one.

We drove over to Okazaki, his favourite fish place and were able to get in. We even got a table with chairs. Woot!  We had a nice dinner. F had the mountain of sashimi set meal and I had tuna cheek. It was good. I tried it with a soy sauce tonight. I preferred the salt one I usually have, but tonight’s was okay.

After dinner we just came back to the house. I knew that F wasn’t feeling so great. I think between his stomach problems, his knees and us getting the flu shot yesterday, he needed a quieter weekend than I let him have. Poor thing. He’ll be glad to get back to work to relax!

Back at the house, I wrote up a few Christmas cards. I’m hoping to get them in the mail later this week. Fingers crossed that I can. I still have a bunch to write though.

I watched an episode of Bake Off where Paul and Mary explain how to make their bakes. I was able to write Christmas cards and pay attention a little to the show. I wanted something I didn’t have to pay a lot of attention too. Oh, I also watched Shakespeare and Hathaway first. I quite like that. I like the casually used Shakespearean lines!

That’s about it for me. I’m not sure what I’ll get up to tomorrow. I should do laundry, but I probably won’t. I will be cooking dinner again, wish me luck with that.

Come back later if you like and hear all about my day. Until tomorrow….
