Wednesday - Clear and sunny, warmer

I think I heard F leave this morning, but went back to sleep right afterwards. I woke up with my alarm. I looked at my phone and I had received a message from a family member in Canada. She’d received the Christmas card that she sent me back. Oh dear. Last year, I stupidly sent most of my cards with the wrong return address. I combined my old apartment address with the house address. Anyway, I didn’t get the card.

I went downstairs and I took the tank from the kerosene heater down. It was nearly empty. I filled it up, brought it back up and got dressed. I then went back to bed and watched the rest of the news from the bed. After that, I watched the news that I recorded early on. Yay me. As usual, I followed that up with a nap.

I overslept a bit and went downstairs a bit late. K was bopping around for a change, a nice change. She was grabbing her breakfast, I grabbed mine.

I came back upstairs to eat and spent quite a bit of time on my computer today. I watched a bit of YouTube and started thinking about taking people off my groups. Sigh.

I went downstairs and grabbed my lunch. K was around again, today she was in a cleaning mode. I was actually happy to see her that way as she’s been spending so much time in bed sleeping.

As I left the room, I showed her the plate that I had put in the fridge for her and went on my way upstairs. I finished lunch and did my groups. I took people off and made arrangements for other groups to be checked as well.

I watched the news at 4 pm and then relaxed for a few minutes. F called around 5:30 to say that he was coming back and then I went downstairs.

I started as I usually do with dishes and then I started cooking and prepping. Today I did an eggplant - mushroom sauté, and with it there was salad, sautéed pork, and rice for F and K. In the last few minutes, I decided to magic together a curried tuna and potato dish. I started by microwaving some potatoes and then frying them off. A bit later, I added in a couple of small cans of tuna and some curry powder and garam masala. It turned out very well. I got the table set up and yelled for F. He didn’t answer. I texted him. No answer. I ran upstairs and he was on his computer and was very surprised to see me. I asked him to come down and he did.

Dinner got good reviews and a lot of it was eaten. I did have enough leftovers to leave a plate for K’s lunch, so that’s good.

I did the dishes and I was really tired today. Making dinner was a bit stressful, so I really didn’t want to go out to do shopping tonight. However, we needed to get some food. By the time I got finished with the dishes and then doing up the garbage to go out tomorrow, I was beat.

K was still up and she surprised me by asking me to put a shippu or a sticky plaster with medicine on her shoulder.  Of course it was fine. She was wearing so many layers that it took her quite a while to get down to her shoulder.

Afterwards, I went upstairs. F was in bed. He wasn’t feeling great and didn’t want to go out either, so we didn’t. I told him that he might have to buy us bentos tomorrow night and he said it was okay. I might just do some pasta or something tomorrow night if F will pick up a salad for us. We’ll see what happens.

I took a shower and then watched The Walking Dead.  I usually DVR it, but sadly, our new DVR hasn’t proved itself to be too reliable yet. I set it up to record a movie today and it recorded 7 minutes of it. I asked F to look at it, but he wasn’t up to it tonight.

The Walking Dead was really good tonight. It was all about Michonne and Judith and there was lots of Daryl in it. I enjoyed it.

And that’s about it. Tomorrow I am not sure what’s going to happen. I’ve asked my hair stylist if I can come and get a hair cut, but I haven’t heard from her yet.

That’s it for me. Come back later if you like and hear all about my day. Until tomorrow….
