Thursday - Sunny and warmer
I woke up this morning and it was warm. When I checked the heater, it said the room’s temperature was 15 degrees. It’s January…what the heck? I’m honestly not complaining, but we have so little snow at the moment that it is surprising. F and I had a little chat about that tonight.
When I came back to the room from downstairs I dressed and watched the news from the bed. I was rather tired today, so after the news, I turned off the TV and napped. I woke up early as I got a message from my hairdresser apologizing for being too busy to see me this week. I went downstairs, K was bopping around downstairs too. I grabbed breakfast and brought it back up.
I watched a little TV and also YouTube today. I caught the end of the movie, He’s Just Not That Into You. It’s not the greatest film, but it has grown on me over the years. It’s quite an ensemble cast.
I went downstairs and grabbed lunch a little early today. I came upstairs and watched another episode of Bake-Off before I tuned into the news.
F called around 5:30 to say he needed to buy gas first and then he’d come back to the house. I decided to offer to cook dinner tonight. I could easily make pasta…salad might be a problem, but the rest of it would be fine.
When F came back, I said that I could make dinner and he thought that would be a good idea. Darn! I really shouldn’t have offered! For some reason I was really tired today.
Around 6:10 I went into the kitchen and got started on dinner. I did pasta and also made a salad with some of the cabbage I had in the fridge. We had a duck breast that I sliced and plated.
Dinner was pretty good. There was a bit leftover, but not a ton of stuff. I packaged up the remainders and left them for K’s lunch tomorrow. I did the dishes, which didn’t take too long for a change.
I went upstairs and got changed, then F and I drove to Mina, the grocery store. His knees were sore, so I volunteered to go in and get groceries alone. I did a quick search around the store. In all honesty, I just wanted to get something easy for dinner tomorrow. I did get stuff that I barely have to cook. That makes me happy!
We came back to the house and I watched a bit of YouTube before putting on something from the Fire Stick. The something was the fourth episode of YellowJackets. I’ve been enjoying it, but it is only on until the end of the weekend. Hmm.
I watched the end of New Amsterdam too when YellowJackets was over. I enjoyed that too.
And that was virtually my day. I finally found my back up disk, so I backed up my computer which took a while.
