Wednesday - Windy, cold and snowy
I went to bed a little late last night, but earlier than I have been going lately. I woke up a little earlier this morning too…F didn’t mean to, but made a bit of noise in the morning. I woke up, went downstairs and then came back upstairs to go back to sleep. I altered my alarms so that I would wake up a bit later.
I woke up later, got dressed and watched the news. I watched a bit of TV, but turned off the TV and tried to sleep. I didn’t quite manage. My dear hubby called to say that he was coming back to the house for a few minutes.
I got up and checked for mail. I got some today, a late Christmas card and a nengajo so that was nice! F came upstairs and we chatted for a little before he had to leave again.
I decided to do some laundry so I took my clothes downstairs and threw them in the washing machine. I also grabbed my breakfast and brought that upstairs to eat. I hung up my laundry when it was ready. I also watched a bit of a movie on WOWOW today called Silk Road. It was based on a true story apparently. I didn’t watch it all, but most of it between going to get the laundry.
In the afternoon I watched a bit of YouTube and then grabbed lunch later. While I ate, I watched an episode of The Great British Sewing Bee and enjoyed that rather a lot. I watched the news at 4 pm and folded some laundry. After that, at 5 pm or so, I went outside and shovelled a bit of snow. There wasn’t as much out there as I thought there would be, probably because it was quite windy during the day.
After I came into the house, F called to say that he was on his way back, so I got ready to start dinner. I went downstairs, washed dishes and then started on dinner. F came back around this time and went upstairs.
First of all, I started with the chicken. I got it going in the air fryer and then started to cook the potato patties. Unfortunately, the power went out. I think it was because the heater in the living room had just started and the air fryer was going, and so was the toaster oven. I was all set to climb up and hit the switch when F came down and rescued me! He could reach the switch and turned the power back on!
A little after 7 I had the table set and the food cooked but of course, I couldn’t get the other people to come to the table. K was in bed despite being up 15 minutes earlier and F was upstairs again. Sigh. Finally, they came and we ate. We had air-fried chicken drumsticks with potato patties, spinach and salad. It was all very good I thought.
F wasn’t feeling well, so he ran off upstairs, I stayed downstairs and did the dishes, then I did up the garbage. I put it in the genkan for F to take out tomorrow.
I went upstairs when I was done and F finished his garbage. I decided to take my shower earlier than usual because I wanted to be done for The Walking Dead!
I took my shower and it was fine. F said that he would skip his again, so that was up to him. I relaxed when I was upstairs, and then just before 11 pm, I told F that I didn’t want to hear from him for an hour as it was time for TWD! Today was a good episode, but I do wonder where things are going.
I left the TV on for a while to watch the Hollywood updates but turned it off a bit later.
F isn’t feeling well. He was complaining about being dizzy. I hope it isn’t anything serious. He didn’t sleep that well last night so maybe a good night’s sleep will cure him.
Well, that’s it for me. Tomorrow I’m cooking dinner again and also there may be more snow shovelling! Come back later and find out. Until tomorrow….
