Thursday - Windy, with a little snow
I woke up this morning with my alarm. Yay. I might have heard F when he left, but I was able to stay asleep.
I went downstairs and then came back upstairs and watched the news from the bed. Then, I took a nap. I got a text from F this morning to say that his sister would be by in the late afternoon to take their mother to the doctor.
I had a quiet morning and afternoon. I had a nice breakfast and then a bit later lunch too. After I ate lunch, I checked the outside of the house and did a quick and dirty snow shoveling. I wasn’t wearing a coat or proper shoes, so I mean I was quick!
I went back upstairs and a few minutes later, K’s daughter came by to pick her up. I’m glad that I swept the snow away. It took a while for them to leave. I had to go downstairs after they left to close the kitchen door. I’d set the heater to come on at 4 pm and of course, K left the door open. It’s the bane of my existence at the moment!
I watched the news and then a little later, K came back with her daughter. F called and I went downstairs and got a start on dinner.
Today for dinner I made a spicy tofu dish in my air fryer and also a pork stir-fry. Everything worked quite well. I swear I just don’t know what do to though. I get the table set and I call F a bit early and he never comes on time. K won’t usually start until he’s in the room and then I’m fuming because my food is getting cold!
Still, dinner was good and there were even enough leftovers to give K some for dinner so that was good.
I did the dishes afterwards and then went upstairs. I was really tired. I changed my clothes and then F and I went out to the grocery store. I tried to tell him that he could stay in the car, but he wanted to come to the store too! He was as slow as usual and drove me crazy.
We left the store and came back to the house. I put away most of the groceries and then came upstairs to watch the episode of The Great British Sewing Bee on NHK. I enjoyed it. Later at 11 pm I watched the first episode of the new season of New Amsterdam. It was good and seems to be moving the show in a different direction…for now anyway.
And that’s about it. F is off work tomorrow and has an appointment in the morning. I’m not sure what he’s going to do in the afternoon. It could get interesting!

That's pretty frustrating when they don't come to the table isn't it? My husband does that as well. I get pretty annoyed by it.

The day did turn out to be interesting.
I have been trying to call him earlier so that he'll come down a bit sooner, but that hasn't worked yet. I have actually started dinner without him, but lately, K doesn't eat if he's not there.
