Friday - Clear but cold
I went to bed a bit late last night but woke up around 8 am this morning. I think I heard F get up, but he didn’t wake me up fully, so that was good.
I went back to bed and snoozed for a couple of hours. I did get up just before 10 am. I didn’t hear any construction noises today, but just before I got up, I heard some noises outside. It turns out that F was popping in for a couple of minutes. He came upstairs and we chatted for a moment.
I grabbed breakfast after he left and came back upstairs to eat. I watched the news and after I ate, I went back to bed for a little while. I set a timer so I didn’t fall asleep too deeply and then got up again.
I went outside and did a tiny bit of snow shovelling. I went out in my Crocs and no coat, so it really wasn’t a lot of snow shovelling. I just cleared the area around the stairs. No big deal.
I came back inside and went upstairs for a bit. I came back down around 3pm to grab my lunch. I took it upstairs to eat. I watched another episode of The Closer. In this one, the detectives all threatened to quit if Brenda was demoted or fired. It was very touching really.
I watched the 4 pm news and a bit later F called to say he was on his way. I eventually went downstairs and started dinner. Tonight I just did pasta again, but I used orecchiette instead of spaghetti. It took a long time to cook, but I thought it was nice. F and K both only had one helping each, a small one. Sigh. Oh well. We had some fried chicken, salad and mushrooms with it.
I did the dishes and then came upstairs when I finished. I took a shower a bit late tonight and then made some microwave popcorn. It was yummy. When I brought it back upstairs, I gave some to F and he really liked it. He took a handful and then asked for more!
I watched some YouTube and got started on my night internet stuff. It’s been a quiet but decent day. I spent part of the day texting with F. He suggested going to a nice restaurant tomorrow, but unfortunately, we have doctor’s appointments and don’t really know when we’ll be finished. The restaurant isn’t in town so it does matter as it will take time to get there.
Anyway, that’s it for me for today. I’ll try and update you tomorrow. Come back later and hear all about my Saturday. Until tomorrow….
