Saturday - Cloudy with a little rain
As usual, F woke me up this morning, about 2 minutes before my alarm went off. It threw off my sleep schedule and I spent a bit more time in bed. I finally dragged myself out of bed later and got dressed.
Our appointments were 11:00 and 11:30, although basically we could just show up together anytime within those times. F wanted to plan for 11:00 and we tried to leave around 10:45. F was mad at me because I got to the car just before 11. I had my reasons. We got to the doctor’s office, went in and F discovered that he’d left his wallet at the house. He went back for it and I wasn’t too smug.
Today the doctor’s office wasn’t too busy so we were out in less than an hour. That was crazy! Even the pharmacy didn’t take that long. Afterwards, F suggested going to the restaurant that he had talked about yesterday. I was fine with it, but wasn’t sure if we’d be able to get in. Well, we drove out to Kamo and were able to get in! We both had pasta, carbonara and it was nice. We had the lunch set so it came with a tiny amount of soup, some amuse bouche and then the main and dessert. We had to pay for our drinks separately though, that was the only downer. The restaurant was on the second floor right by the ocean, so the views were lovely. I hope we’ll go back sometime.
After this, we went and did a little shopping. I got a couple of things to go with my new computer…due to arrive on Monday if all goes well. Fingers crossed.
Then, we headed over the street and went to Shimamura. It’s a cheaper clothing shop. I wanted to buy some socks since quite a few of mine have developed holes lately. I got 4 pairs, I hope that they’ll do for me.
F wanted to go for coffee, so we drove over to Komeda Coffee and went in. It was quite busy, but we were seated quickly. We ordered but over the time we were there, F’s phone ran out of battery so I had to lend him my battery. Then, he started to feel bad. He said that he couldn’t go to the movie tonight and he wanted to go back to the house right away. I was disappointed, and a little annoyed since I hadn’t even finished my coffee yet. F went out to the car, and I paid with our coffee tickets.
We came back to the house and F had a nap. He woke up a bit later and made his mother some dinner. Good for him, but I have the idea that he might have given her some of my food! He wanted to leave soon after for our dinner, but neither of us were hungry yet. We waited until 7:30ish and then went.
I had requested that we go to Coco Ichibanya since they had both their Soup Curry and their Grandmother’s Curry specials on now. F was fine with that, so we went and we both had the same thing. We had the Soup Curry, although I had mine with roasted chicken and F had his with sausages and squid. We also added on salad and a drink. The salad was a good size and we both had a plain lassi to drink.
Although F had suggested going to the Internet Cafe (after 2 years!) by the time we finished eating, he just wanted to head back to the house. We did make a quick stop at a conbini to pick up some snacks and some food for K’s breakfast, and then went back to the house.
We had a quiet evening. F did a bit of napping, I watched the second episode of Slow Horses and then FBI. I enjoyed both of them. The TV went off.
I’m not sure what’s going to happen tomorrow. If F is feeling better, we might try and catch the afternoon show of Poor Things, if not, I’ll go over to the mall in the middle of the week.
