Wednesday - Cloudy but warm
I got up this morning when my alarm went off at 8:00am. That felt really early, even though I used to get up then all the time.
Over the next hour and a half, I dressed, had a quick and tiny breakfast, and then went to the bus stop. The bus was only a few minutes late and I got on. I went to S-Mall. The mall itself was closed when I got there, but it opened at 10 am. I went in and was quite surprised to see all the store clerks lined up in front of their stores and they all said Good Morning to me as they bowed. That was odd!
I went up to Daiso, the hundred yen shop, got a few things and then came back downstairs and went to Doutor. I had a cup of rooibos tea and a piece of cheese toast. Yum. I had to keep an eye on the time as my next bus was at 10:56. I did make the bus and had a quiet and calm ride out to the Aeon Mall in Mikawa.
At the mall, I went in and then went over to the Post Office and made a little deposit. Hey, I’ll deposit 50 coins as often as I can. Today it was 100 yen coins, so it was ¥5000. Not too bad really.
I bought my movie ticket for later and then decided to do a little shopping. I went to Aeon and looked for something for my friend’s belated Christmas present. I found her something and then bought it.
I went and had lunch. It was McDonalds and some of it was good…the chicken burger…the Icon Salt and Lemon Chicken burger was really good, but the fries I had with it were not. They were soggy. I had their caramel milk tea frappe. It was quite nice. I’d have it again, but probably more as a dessert than a drink.
I walked back along the mall towards the theatre area and noticed a shop was having a sale, a closing sale. It was a sock shop, so I went in to see if I could get anything. I bought a few things, some for me and some for my friend.
I did a quick trip through the hundred yen shop in the mall (Seria) and got a couple of things, then went upstairs. I went to Baskin Robbins and had some ice cream before going to the cinema.
I went to see Poor Things today. I liked it a lot. It isn’t a film for everyone as there is a lot of sexual activity in the film, but I liked the actual story and I thought Emma Stone was extremely good in her part.
After the movie, I turned my phone back on and texted F. He said that he’d just arrived at the mall so I went downstairs and out the door looking for F. I called him to see where he was and he was in the mall looking for me!
We met up and went to Doutor for a drink. I bought F a hot dog too. After our drink, we went to Aeon, to the grocery store and picked up some bentos for dinner. Honestly, I didn’t want a bento, I was hoping that F would take me to a restaurant tonight, but he didn’t want to do that.
We drove back to Tsuruoka and the house. K was up, which was good. I got to heat up the bentos and put them on the table. F didn’t do anything as he was tired. So was I but that didn’t matter.
F and K ate their bentos. I had a little bit of mine and then put it away. I wasn’t very hungry. I did have a carton of popcorn at the movie… doesn’t leave a lot of room for food!
After I got to do the dishes (Yay me!) I did the garbage and then went upstairs to wait for F to get ready to leave.
We made a quick trip to Mina and got food for the next couple of days. I’m going to do chicken and fries tomorrow night, Friday will be making our own pizzas! Probably I’ll make the pizzas.
Back at the house, we put away the groceries and then came upstairs to take a break. After a bit, I took a shower and then came upstairs. It was too late to watch something on TV, so I turned to YouTube.
And that’s about it. It was a good day for the most part and I enjoyed getting out of the house again. I really should get out more often. It does cost a bit of money, but for my mental health, it is probably worth it.
