Friday - Sunny and rainy all day. Humid

I woke up this morning before 7am. I was really surprised. I made a trip downstairs and then I came back upstairs and went back to sleep. I didn’t use the air conditioner but I did use my fan so I was cool enough to sleep. 

I got up later, dressed and then I got my breakfast while I was downstairs. I marked K’s lunch for her so that she could find it and I put some bread out on the table so she could make sandwiches if she wanted to do that. I went back upstairs and relaxed for a bit. I watched the news and drank a sports drink. I noticed that I was very dehydrated this morning so needed it. 

I went down for my lunch later on and did a bit of a clean out the fridge thing for myself. I finished up the last of the tacos on one of the remaining tortillas, then my usual two sandwiches (open face). I ran out of my cheese yesterday so that was rather sad. I took my lunch upstairs and ate it and got to watch another episode of The Good Fight. It was rather good today. Poor Maya got arrested as her father did a runner. 

After F called to say he was on his way, I went downstairs and got started on dinner. Tonight I was making pasta, but I had forgotten to buy my regular spaghetti on Wednesday. Oops. I used my orecchiette tonight and it turned out really well. I didn’t over-sauce it but it did take quite a bit of time to cook. I also made some cucumber pickle, a salad and I cut up a duck breast.  Dinner was good and everything got eaten. I was very surprised by that! Usually there are leftovers.

I did the dishes and it wasn’t too bad. I got done fairly quickly and then came upstairs. I checked my TV listings and found that Barbie was coming on in a few minutes so I decided to watch it again. It was fun! I haven’t had much time to watch movies lately so it was good that I could do it tonight. Ryan Gosling was fabulous and of course Margot Robbie is gorgeous. 

F fell asleep while I was watching the movie and hasn’t woken up yet. I’m hoping that he sleeps well for the rest of the night. 

The rainy season is over in the south of Japan, but it isn’t over up here yet. We had some torrential rain earlier and more is forecast for tomorrow. We are discussing going to Costco on Sunday, but we haven’t quite decided yet because of the weather. I also worry that F will be doing all the driving and then going to work on the next day. Is that fair to him? Mind you, at Costco, he gets to sit and relax while I run around and do all the shopping!

Well, that’s enough for me for tonight. Tomorrow we hope to go to a movie in the evening and then we’ll see. Come back later if you like and hear all about my day. Until tomorrow….
