 Sunday - Cloudy, slightly rainy and colder

I woke up fairly early again today, went downstairs and then fell back asleep after a bit. My alarms started going off around 10:30, but it was still hard to get out of bed. If Lizzo’s About Damn Time hadn’t come on after 11am I might still be in bed!

I got dressed and a little while later, F and I got K out to the car and drove over to the Komagihara Onsen. We took her to the nice Japanese restaurant in the building and had lunch. It was very nice, but in all honesty, I was a tad disappointed. I had asked F to tell the restaurant that it was for her birthday, but he didn’t. There was no dessert and it would have been nice if he’d checked to see if there was one and ordered one if not. We did enjoy the lunch and the food was good.

After lunch, I walked K back to the door while F paid. Then, she wanted to use the washroom. Then he did! We drove back to the house and got K safely home. F went upstairs and was in bed. I was a bit disappointed since I had things to do, but F did agree to go shopping with me. We went over to the large-size shop and had a look at their clothes. Unfortunately, they didn’t have anything I wanted today.

We went for a drink afterwards. We planned on Starbucks at first, but the parking lot was really full. Instead, we ended up at Cafe Studio Cinq. We had our drinks and added on a small cream puff each. That was a nice treat. 

We came back to the house and set up for the visit of K’s Case Worker. F had actually talked to me in advance and asked me to stay with him. We talked about drinks to serve and at first, he wanted me to make Japanese tea for her…I refused. I haven’t got a clue how to make it since I just don’t like it. I did put out some cold tea and coffee, but we didn’t end up using it.

The Case Worker visit went fairly well. They’d like K to go more often, but that means that I’d have to be the one getting her ready in the morning and I don’t think that’s going to happen. She doesn’t pay much attention to me generally. I reminded F to tell the Case Worker that she won’t be able to go to the Care Service one day next month because it’s the memorial service for her brother. He did, and it’s a good thing really.

She left after a while and F decided to make dinner for K. I went upstairs to relax for a bit after I set the table back up in the living room. 

Around 7:00pm F and I went to Kappa Sushi for dinner. He’d eaten a bit with his mother, so he didn’t want too much. We both had a few kinds of sushi and it was pretty good. We enjoyed our dinner.

Next up, we headed over to the PAL Shopping Area and I did a bit of shopping. I went to Daiso and picked up some elastic and some munchies for myself. After that, I went to the grocery store. I picked up food for the next couple of days. After I put the groceries in the car, I went to the nearby drugstore to get some cereal. They don’t sell it at the grocery store, but they usually do at the drugstore!

We came back to the house and I put the groceries away. F had gone upstairs and left me with all the work. After the food was sorted, I did the garbage.

When I was away, the garbage didn’t get done well, so now I have to do it on Sunday night for a while. I’m not thrilled about it, but it might make my Wednesday nights a bit easier.

F did go downstairs later to set up the rice cooker for tomorrow, and to take the garbage out to the station.

I watched a couple of shows on the Fire Stick tonight. First up I watched Gotham and then Bad Monkey. I enjoyed both shows and I’m not sure where they’re going to go from here. I hope to find out though.

I turned off the TV when the shows were over. F had gone to bed and now he’s sleeping. I have to get to bed soon. We actually turned on the heater tonight and it is a lot warmer in the room!
