Friday - Sunny, coldish and finally rain
I woke up this morning and F was sitting up in bed with his computer. Sigh. I rolled over and went back to sleep. When I woke up next time, it was just before my alarm and I went downstairs. I came back to bed and went back to sleep for a bit. I got up later and dressed. I went downstairs.
I checked the mail and I got two Christmas cards in the mail today. Yay. I also checked outside. There was a little snow on the steps, so I just went outside in my crocs and moved the snow. It didn’t take long and it wasn’t that cold, so I was fine. After that, I put my breakfast together and took it upstairs to eat.
Around 1 I took a load of laundry downstairs and put it in. I hung it up in the room later and started another one. I went downstairs to get my lunch and before I did that, I got the laundry out of the machine. I went back upstairs to eat and hang up my laundry.
As I didn’t have a full hour to watch a programme during my lunch, I decided to watch a new one, The Sticky. I watched the first episode and it was fun.
After 5pm F called to say he was on his way back. I reminded him that he might want to buy something for K’s meals this weekend. He said he would.
I went downstairs and got ready to cook dinner. Tonight I did my usual Friday dinner of pasta. With it I served a salad and some bacon and mushroom fried together. I chopped up the bacon and mushroom into small pieces and fried them. It worked really well. F doesn’t like eringi mushrooms, but I do. I've heard that They are often used as a meat substitute, so chopping them and frying them with the bacon meant they stretched the meat and tasted a little bacony.
After dinner, I did the dishes and they went quite quickly. I listened to my movie podcasts too so I was very entertained as well.
I went upstairs when I finished and relaxed for a bit. I took a shower around 10:30. When I came back upstairs, I ended up having a texting session with my sister. She had sent me something via Amazon for Christmas. F had found the box outside when he came back from work tonight. He brought in a huge box and I thought it was something he had brought from work!
We texted for a while and then I told her I had to go so I could watch a bit of TV! F goes to bed around midnight usually, so I wanted not to have the TV on late.
Since I again didn’t have much time, I decided to watch the second episode of The Sticky. It was fun and the plot is thickening!
I turned off the TV, went on to YouTube and started doing my normal end-of-day things. And now, you are up to date!
I’m not sure what we’ll be getting up to tomorrow. F wants to do work around the house and we’re supposed to have a meeting with K’s care manager. I’m not looking forward to that.
