Wednesday - Clear, then a bit rainy
I went to bed rather late last night, but it was fine. I slept well and woke up when my alarm started making noise. I think F was still in bed then too, but he got up and went downstairs. I dozed for a while, but did drag myself out of bed and I got dressed.
The sushi arrived on time, and I went downstairs to help F set the table and get things ready to eat. Our sushi was lovely and we all were quite stuffed afterwards. F washed the dishes afterwards and I dried them and put them away.
I went upstairs for a while to wait for him. F decided to clean the bathroom. I mean, power to him, but I had asked to go to the mall and I didn’t want to be too late. He came upstairs and made to lie down around 2 and then I reminded him that I wanted to go to the mall. Fair enough, he was okay with that, so off we went. I wore boots and I really should have worn shoes!
The mall was so busy. We had trouble finding a parking space, so had to park on the roof. We went shopping. I looked at the crafting area, but it wasn’t having any good sales. F got himself some socks. We looked at some of the fukubukuros but the sizes didn’t go up to mine on the women’s ones, and the bag of bags that F suggested didn’t interest me enough. We walked down the mall and I bought F a drink at Doutors. We sat at a table for a while and drank our drinks. F had a regular coffee, I had a decaf latte. It was very nice.
We walked back to Aeon and went to the grocery store to get things for dinner. F wanted some tonkatsu and I suggested some salads and pickles which F was okay with. The problem was when we tried to check out. Oh my goodness. We had to wait for about 30 minutes to get near the till!
We took our shopping and went back to the car and drove back to Tsuruoka. I didn’t get any Fukubukuro and that’s okay. I keep hoping to get one with good stuff, but not this year!
Back at the house, I came upstairs after putting the food away. F made another trip to the store and soon after called me down for dinner. I put a lot of things on the table and then we ate. We didn’t have the tonkatsu, we had the food that F and K didn’t eat last night! It seems that when I was chased out of the living room, other people lost their appetites. I wonder why?
We all ate quite well and when we were done I suggested to F that if he washed the dishes I would dry them. That’s what we did. I’m really glad as I didn’t want to do all of the work, but didn’t mind doing some of it.
I went upstairs and relaxed again. I watched a bit of YouTube and then I decided that since I had time, I would watch a movie. Well, I went for a not great movie, but it did have Jason Statham in it, plus Clive Owen and Robert deNiro! It should have been better. It was called Killer Elite, supposedly roughly based on a true story.
F and I chatted from time to time, I opened a big bag of Costco chips and it’s been a nice but quiet evening. I should really just post this and go to bed as it is about that time!
I’m not sure what we’re going to do tomorrow. I’m hoping that most of the stores will be getting back towards their regular hours. I don’t really want to spend too much more time here at the house. It isn’t my house and I have no stake in it. I also spend a lot of time here during regular days, time that I’d rather be somewhere else.
Anyway, we’ll find out what happens tomorrow when its tomorrow! Come back later if you like and hear all about my day. Until tomorrow….
