Friday - Snowy and windy and cold
I got up this morning when my alarm went off and then I went back to bed for a bit. I watched a few videos on my phone and then I napped for a little.
After I got up and dressed, I went downstairs with my laundry and started the washing machine. Then I went outside and shovelled some snow. I wasn’t outside too long, just about 15 minutes or so.
When I came back into the house I made my breakfast. Today, I made myself some oatmeal. I haven’t had any in ages. When I opened the microwave to cook my oatmeal, I found F’s onigiri in there. Oh no! I texted him and asked him if I could eat them! We text-chatted for a few minutes.
I ate my oatmeal in the kitchen as my laundry was nearly done, so I didn’t want to go upstairs and then come back right away. After I hung up the laundry, I took my laundry upstairs and ate my onigiri too.
I put in another load of laundry and set it to dry for an hour after it washed. I went back upstairs and had a quiet afternoon. I watched some YouTube and decided not to watch the movie of the day.
When I went downstairs to make my lunch, my laundry was nearly done. I took it out of the machine and then grabbed some of F’s stuff that was down there too. I picked the stuff he needs for work that shouldn’t be all wrinkled. I came upstairs to the room to eat.
Today I decided to watch an episode of Buffy, The Vampire Slayer. It was okay. I think I’m on the second season now. I only have Buffy till the end of February so I’m not sure how much I’ll see of it.
I went downstairs to start dinner around 5:30. I thought I might have to go out and do a little snow shovelling. I looked outside and the snow wasn’t deep and it was coming down. I decided not to go out. I started dinner, I washed the day’s dishes and then I waited. I didn’t hear from F until 6:30 or so. He had just got back to his office. He’d had a big driving assignment today and the weather was horrible so he took a little longer. I reminded him that he might want to pick up something for his mother’s breakfast tomorrow. He agreed.
I turned up the cooking process and when F came back I told him I could have dinner on the table in about 10 minutes if he wanted to relax. He did.
Tonight we just had spaghetti with tuna sauce, salad and sausages. It was really nice. We had a good dinner and everything disappeared. It was surprising! Usually, when I make pasta there are leftovers, but tonight there weren’t any.
I did the dishes afterwards and listened to my podcasts. When I was done, I told F I was going to go upstairs and that’s what I did. He came up right away too. We had a quiet evening.
I decided to watch a movie, so I ended up watching something off the DVR. Tonight it was Wanted from 2008 with James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie. It was silly and violent and I enjoyed it. While I watched it, I sewed on a button for F on one of the shirts that I hung up today. I’m very nice sometimes!
And, that’s about it for my day. It was a pretty good one. I’m not sure about the weekend if I’m honest. Tomorrow afternoon we have a meeting with K’s Care Manager but apart from that I’m not sure.
