Saturday - Cloudy with a bit of rain, warmer
I woke up this morning when my alarm went off. It wasn’t very loud so I wasn’t even sure if it had actually worked. I got up and went downstairs. I went and talked to F. He was sitting in the living room with his phone. We discussed lunch. I hoped it would be a little later, but F wanted to go almost immediately. It wasn’t even 11am yet!
I suggested a place to F and he liked it. I also suggested that he call and make sure we could get in. He made a reservation, and I went upstairs and got dressed. A few minutes later, we got in the car and drove to Fujishima.
We walked from the parking lot to the restaurant. I think we were the only people there, at least at first. We had a nice meal. F had the ginger pork and I had the hamburger lunch. It was really nice.
We drove back to Tsuruoka. We were going to go to Starbucks, but the parking lot was crazy busy. We went over to Komeda Coffee instead. While we were there, we had their cake set with our drinks which was rather nice.
We went back to the house and relaxed for a while. F stayed downstairs and cleaned and set up the living room for the Care Manager’s visit. I relaxed with some YouTube.
I went downstairs before the Care Manager arrived and talked with F. He was planning to give her green tea and he wanted me to prepare it. I told him that I wouldn’t as I don’t drink it myself. I let him take care of that, and he did.
The Care Manager arrived before K did and F and I talked to her a little. I heard K’s bus arrive outside so I went out and helped her come into the house.
She joined the meeting and after a few minutes, the Care Manager left. She’s a nice person, but most of the time I have no idea what the purpose of her coming is.
F made his mother some dinner and then he joined me upstairs. I suggested that we try a local restaurant, the Chinese place on the other side of the park. F was okay with that, so once again, we got in the car. We drove to the restaurant and surprisingly for me, it was open! We went in and had a nice meal. We ordered some mapo-dofu on rice, some kara-age and some gyoza. We shared it all and it was really good. We paid and left.
We were on our way back to the house when I suggested to F that he get something for his mother’s breakfast. He thought it was a good idea, so we went to the grocery store.
We did a bit of shopping in the store and picked up some food for his mother and ourselves as well. I got more coffee creamers because I was nearly out of them. After F paid, we got in the car and drove back to the house.
We’ve had a fairly quiet night in. I gave F some more of the stollen and I had some too. It’s really nice. I took a shower and when I finished I came back to the room and watched FBI. It was a good episode about a jewelry heist.
F stayed up a bit late. He was watching stuff on his phone and saying things every now and then. I thought he was talking to me but he wasn’t! It was a bit annoying, but funny too.
Anyway, I’m done. We don’t have plans for tomorrow. I’m a bit sad about that, but I hope we’ll be able to do something fun along with the necessary things we need to do on Sunday.
