Sunday - Clear and warm, rainy at night

I had a nice morning today. I slept in and snoozed a bit, but got up eventually. F wanted to go out for lunch so I suggested sushi, with the proviso that it could be really busy. We drove off and sure enough, the sushi restaurant was busy. We got back in the car and then I suggested the newish Indian restaurant. F was okay with that.

We went to the Indian/Nepal restaurant and got a table right away. We had a delicious meal and came in under budget, so that was good too. They had free refills on naan and we both had one extra. We were so stuffed after our meal!

F wanted to come back to the house and that was fine with me. I decided that I’d take down my Christmas tree and put away all the ornaments. It took a while, but I got it done. For good measure, I even took the tree and the ornaments over to the garage and took them upstairs. It wasn’t easy, but I got it done.

After I finished and I cleaned up the last few needles on the floor, I went upstairs. F came up after a while and we discussed going out. His mother didn’t get up, so we didn’t have to feed her yet. Around 7 pm we finally got motivated to go out. We were still not that hungry and F suggested going to Kintaro Sushi. I was fine with that, but was worried that they might be closing soon.

We drove over to Kintaro and it wasn’t busy. We were seated and then we found out why. They have raised their prices again, and they are rather high. I’m not saying that they don’t deserve the money, they do have the best keiten sushi in town, but holy cow….most of the sushi starts over 200 yen now. Luckily, since we had such a big lunch, we weren’t starving, so we had a few plates of sushi and then left. I think we were basically under budget. I’m not sure if we’ll be able to go there often now.

We went to the PAL grocery store and bought a few groceries. I picked up something for K’s dinner if she wanted it and also for her lunch tomorrow. I’m going to do chicken tomorrow and probably coro-coro steak on Tuesday. F had the buggy and the basket today but wasn’t quite as annoying as he often is! We paid and left the store.

We came back to the house and I put away the groceries. Then, I went upstairs. When F joined me, I asked him if he’d help me change the bedsheet. He did. In fact, he helped me by turning the mattress. It’s a queen-sized mattress so it’s pretty hard for me to do it alone. We put a clean mattress pad on it and then the sheet. Whew! Poor F was sweating afterwards as he worked so hard!

F took a shower and I decided that I’d watch something on the Fire Disk. I ended up watching another episode of Gotham and one of The Sticky. I enjoyed both of them.

I turned off the TV and got into my computer stuff for the evening. F took a while before he went to bed, but he finally did. He’s back to work tomorrow. I hope he feels rested and happy after his long break. It has been nice having him around for the most part.

Anyway, that’s it for today. Come back later if you like and hear all about my Monday. Until tomorrow….
