Monday - Slightly rainy, warmer day
I didn’t get to sleep until quite late last night. I was wearing ear plugs but I could still hear my dear hubby snoring away. I was also finishing up a book and then starting a new one, which was probably not what I should have done after 3 in the morning!
I got up this morning, went downstairs and then came back upstairs to bed. I snoozed for another couple of hours and then dragged myself out of bed, dressed and went downstairs. I grabbed my breakfast and came back upstairs to eat and watch the news.
A little after 1 pm I got a call from F. He was taking the afternoon off. He’d almost fallen asleep at work. Oh dear. He came back to the house and did take a snooze after a while. Meanwhile, I did a couple of loads of laundry and hung them up in the room. I was late getting my lunch and since F was in the bedroom I chose not to watch anything off the Fire Disk.
I went downstairs around 5:30 and got ready to make dinner. I washed my dishes from the day and then got stuck into cooking. Today I did chicken drumsticks in the air fryer again. With that, we had some macaroni and tuna salad, salad, rice and broccoli. It turned out rather well and dinner was quite delicious! Most of it disappeared so it was a good thing that I took K’s lunch out before I served dinner.
I got a delivery at 7:00pm, just as I was about to put things on the table. My new digital meat thermometer had arrived. It was just too late for me to use it tonight, but I’ll be able to use it from tomorrow. My last thermometer bit the biscuit when I tried to change the battery a few weeks ago.
Dinner was good, and I cleaned up afterwards. When I finished the dishes, I set up my new thermometer and then took it into the living room to show F. He paid for the device, I figure that he should at least see it!
I went upstairs and relaxed for a bit. A little after 10 I went downstairs again and took a shower. I came back to the room afterwards and decided to watch The Great British Sewing Bee. It was a good, if sad episode in a way as the lady I wanted to win was sent home. Oh dear.
F went to sleep on top of the bed so I turned off the lights for him. A little while later he got himself under the covers.
Tomorrow I have a few things that I need to do, like wrap my friend’s Christmas present so that I can send it soon. I also hope to do a bit more laundry as I have a huge mound of it!
