Tuesday - Rainy and drizzly
When I went to bed last night, F woke up and went downstairs. Then he got his computer out. I’m not sure how long he watched something on it, but I find it annoying. I keep telling him that he shouldn’t use it in bed but he doesn’t listen. He thinks it helps him sleep.
When I woke up this morning, F was gone. I made a trip downstairs and then went back to bed. It was early. I watched a few videos on my phone and then fell back asleep. I overslept a bit, but it didn’t really matter that much!
I got up finally, dressed, and then went downstairs with the nearly empty kerosene tank. I did quite a few things when I was downstairs. I filled up the kerosene tank, I made a marinade for tonight’s dinner and I sorted out my breakfast. Then, I went back upstairs. It was a little complicated taking both the kerosene tank and my breakfast bowl upstairs with me, but I managed, sort of!
I did my usual morning things and watched a bit of YouTube and the news. After I ate I just relaxed a bit. I didn’t do laundry today since I didn’t have anywhere to put it to dry! I did start to wrap my friend’s Christmas present. I found a box and put the presents in a bag first and then in the box. I didn’t tape it yet.
I went downstairs and got my lunch and then brought it back upstairs. During my lunch I watched an episode of Major Crimes. I watched the news and found out that Justin Trudeau, the Prime Minister of Canada is going to step down. I feel a little sad about it because I’m not sure who is going to replace him. I’m not sure that there are any real alternatives at the moment. I’ve never supported his party, but he’s been quite well respected by people outside Canada.
F called after 5 to say he was on his way back, so I went downstairs and got started on dinner. However, F returned before I started anything really!
Tonight I made a new dish for me, that I’d just seen on YouTube, on Emmymade’s channel. It was onion boil. You don’t actually boil an onion, you actually roast it, but you stuff it first and put some spices on it and then you wrap it in foil and roast it. I did it in my air fryer of course. I started that early and then did a bit of running around so I could get the rest of the meal done. I put the meat in around the onion when it was closer to dinner time. I plated some potato salad and cooked a few mushrooms. I also made some bibinba rice with the leftover rice from last night. I got dinner on the table fairly early and it was good. K even said it was delicious, which is high praise as she rarely speaks these days.
I did the dishes after dinner and listened to a couple of podcasts. I was entertained! When I finished, I said goodnight to K and then went upstairs to change. F and I went to the grocery store. F didn’t hurry and it rather annoyed me. The store closes at 10 and we didn’t leave here until 9:22. I probably should have gone to the 24 hour grocery shop, but it’s so big!
F didn’t come in the shop, so I did a lot of running around by myself and it was great. I enjoyed that, but the store was out of a lot of things that I wanted to buy. Sigh.
We came back to the house and I finished wrapping my friend’s present and then I registered it online. The post office makes us register everything we mail now, letters and cards are okay, but “things” need to be registered.
I did that and then I watched FBI: Most Wanted and it was all about AI. It was a bit sci-fi for the show. Usually it is quite down to earth and realistic.
And that’s about it. Since midnight I’ve been watching a lot of YouTube and trying to decide if I’m going to go out tomorrow. I should go and mail my package as it’s already really late and the weather is supposed to go majorly downhill after tomorrow. I might do it. I should do it!
Come back later if you like and read about my day. Until tomorrow….
