Wednesday - Cold and cloudy, snowy at night

I woke up this morning when F was getting ready for work. I moved my eye mask and was blinded by the light on in the room. Eek. I pulled my mask down again and put the covers over my head!

I woke up later and got up when my alarms started going off. I sat up and felt bad. The room started to spin a bit. I felt quite dizzy. I went downstairs and then came back up and went back to bed. I watched a couple of videos and then snoozed.

I got up later and dressed. I wasn’t dizzy anymore. I went downstairs and prepared my breakfast, and brought it upstairs to eat. I mostly forgot about the news, and just saw a bit of it.

I got ready to go out. I dressed up a bit, packed my backpack, got my keys and Suica card ready and then I went downstairs. My stomach felt a bit odd though. Well, my stomach wasn’t in a good mood. I made the executive decision to try and take the next bus in an hour. It was a good plan.

I went back upstairs and took a short nap. I got into the bed and relaxed for half an hour. I was able to get a little sleep too so that was good. I felt better afterwards so I decided to go. I got ready to go again and this time made it out of the house.

I got to the bus stop a little early again and had to wait. I got on when it arrived. That was a little difficult as the step didn’t seem to work and the bus was quite high. I got on and the ride was nice and quickish to the main post office. I got in and went to the post office.

Things at the post office went well. The mail section was quite busy so I thought I’d be a while. However, a woman from the back was taking people in line if they had simple things, or if she could help them. I didn’t think that she’d help me, but she came over and I told her my box was going to Canada. She asked if it was EMS and I said no, so she asked, “Small Packet?” I said yes. I gave her my paperwork and said I still had to sign it. She took it off and then when the first counterperson was available, brought me over. The parcel ended up being cheaper than I thought and I signed my paperwork, checked a paper saying I wasn’t sending anything dangerous and I was done there.

I decided to make a small deposit at the post office bank. I’m on a mission to get rid of my one yen coins so I deposited another 50 of them. Woot. Not a big deposit, but it was nice to get rid of them. I have a lot more sad to say!

I checked the bus schedule and there wouldn’t be one for about 15 minutes. I decided to walk to the next bus stop as it was under cover and with the clouds I was thinking it might rain a bit.  I got to the bus stop before the bus did, about 10 minutes. I decided to just wait. The bus came, I got on and rode it to S-Mall.

At S-Mall, I checked the bus schedule again for the way back. I would have about 25 minutes in the mall if I caught the first bus back so I decided to do a quick shop in the grocery store. I nabbed a few things and paid from them, then went back to the bus station and waited for my bus.

The bus was the same one I rode on from the house earlier. There was no step again. Sigh. I got on and was the only passenger for quite a while. I got off at my stop and walked back to the house. Somehow with all the big steps getting on and off buses I managed to hurt my leg. When I got to the house I decided to make a fast lunch for myself. I didn’t have a lot of food. I took a little bread out of the freezer and made a couple of open sandwiches for myself. I went upstairs and ate my late, late lunch.

F called a few minutes later and said he was on the way back. I waited a little while and then went downstairs to start dinner. He got back to the house before I washed the dishes. We had a nice chat and welcome back.

Tonight dinner was fairly simple and probably not that healthy! We had French Fries, smoked brats, potato salad and lettuce salad that I had to wash myself! It was quite good and most of it disappeared!

I did the dishes afterwards. It didn’t take too long. Then, I did up some of the kitchen garbage and left it in the genkan. We have to get back on the Thursday schedule again, but I just sent it out on Monday so there wasn’t too much.

I came upstairs to relax, then took a shower. Later on, I watched Grey’s Anatomy. For some reason, Katherine Fox has become a pain in the butt and is firing all of the staff. What’s up with her I wonder?

I turned off the TV and F and I chatted off and on. I asked him to make rice. I had asked him earlier to be fair, but I hadn’t reminded him. Then I asked him about making a dental appointment for me. I may have broken a tooth so I’d like to get that seen to. It took a while for him to get the info needed, but he was very careful about it.

F has finally gone to bed and seems to be sleeping. I’m heading there soon too. It was a long day and my leg hurts. I took some OTC pain killers and F gave me a shippu, a kind of bandage with medicine in it that is popular here. I am not convinced that they work, but I’ll try it.

And that’s it. Tomorrow I probably have an exciting day of laundry and then cooking dinner. Woot. Come back later if you like and hear all about it. Until tomorrow….

Oh I am sorry to hear about your leg. I hope you feel better soon. I have to say I love those Shippu's,last time I visited Japan I bought a few packs from Amazon and brought them home with me, they are really good for my muscle aches and pains. Sadly we don't have anything like that in Aus. Anyway hope you feel better soon and good luck k with your tooth too!

Thanks Kelly. F gave me some of his shippu and it seems to have worked. I'm much improved today, thanks very much. I have a dental appointment now, but it isn't for a while, so things are moving here.
