 Thursday - Snowy, snowy, snowy

F stayed up really late last night. He didn’t wake up when I went to bed which was nice, but for some reason, he did try and wake me up in the morning. It didn’t work!

I woke up when my alarm went off, went downstairs, looked at the amount of snow outside and then went back to bed. I overslept and it was very late when I got up. I did get dressed and went out and shovelled snow. I was outside around an hour, possibly a bit less. I came back in when I had the entrance to the parking area cleared off. The snow plough had gone through at some time and the space was blocked off.

There was so much snow. Even while I was clearing it, it was still coming down. 

I went in the house, made my breakfast and went upstairs to eat. F called to say that he was on his way back to the house and I told him that it was fine. 

When he arrived, he actually thanked me for shovelling snow and doing a good job of it. That was amazing!

F stayed in the house for a while. He was waiting for someone who was in a meeting so had nowhere to wait. He left around two pm and a little later I went downstairs and made my lunch. I brought it back upstairs and ate. I also watched an episode of Bones tonight that I hadn’t seen before. 

After 5 pm, I went outside again. It was disheartening to see how much snow had fallen in the meantime. I cleared away the snow from the steps and also around the parking area. At least the snowplough hadn’t gone through again. I missed F’s calls because I couldn’t hear my phone in my pocket. And, I was distracted. While I was doing the parking area, I heard a huge Whomp! A big lot of snow had fallen off the roof and fell on the steps. Yay…not. I cleaned up as much as I could and then redid the steps. I went inside to get started on dinner.

F came back a little while later and said that even more snow had fallen off the roof. He’d had to shovel snow to get in the house! Oh no.

I made dinner. It wasn’t a particularly difficult one tonight. I did burgers from the store, some macaroni with 4 cheese sauce, a lettuce salad and rice. It was fairly good. The news on TV wasn’t good about the weather. Apparently us people near the Sea of Japan are getting dumped on tonight and tomorrow. My weather app says that it is all weekend too. Noooo!

I cleared the table fairly early and I got started on the dishes too. I got them done sooner than usual, so I told F that we needed to go out and after a few minutes that’s what we did. Now, of course, F had to sweep snow off the car before we left. 

We went to Mina and F came in with me. He needed to pick up stuff for K’s breakfast on Saturday morning. He got some snacks for himself, so I got some for me too! Today I did manage to get a couple of premade salads for tomorrow and some other things for dinner, so yay. Oh, and I found cabbages tonight. I got a half one. 

We came back to the house and F did more snow shovelling. I did offer to help him, but he didn’t want me to. I think he doesn’t like how I do it, but that’s okay. I went in the house and put away the groceries. Then, I filled up the kerosene tank for our heater upstairs and took it upstairs.

I started the heater and changed into my PJs. It wasn’t that late, but I wanted to relax. My phone app tells me that we are under a heavy snow warning until the morning. We are running out of places to put the snow. The funny thing is that there wasn’t any snow yesterday! I wore my summery mesh running shoes to go downtown, today I had to be in my winter boots!

I watched The Rookie at 11pm and then turned off the TV when it was over. I got stuck into YouTube and blogging.
