Sunday - Sunny but cool

It’s been an odd day if I’m honest. I overslept this morning. There didn’t seem to be a reason to get up. I finally did get up and even got dressed so that I’d be ready to go out when F wanted to.

Well, around 1 pm F came up to the room, threw himself on the bed, said he didn’t need to go out as he’d already eaten and asked where I wanted to go. I couldn’t think of somewhere that would pass his standards and that I’d like to go. He then announced he wasn’t going anywhere. Oh dear. Well, I knew that there was a bus coming in a few minutes so I grabbed my purse and my coat and left. I asked F if he’d come and pick me up later and he said no.

I went off to the bus stop and a few minutes later got on the bus. It was surprisingly busy. We picked up quite a few people along the way. Most got off at the station, I did not. I went to S-Mall. I checked out the hotel’s lunch. I almost went for it until I noticed it had tomato sauce on it. Oh dear.

Instead, I went upstairs in the mall and visited Daiso. I bought a few things like a new eyeglass cleaning cloth and some garbage bags. Nothing too exciting. Then, I went to the grocery store and picked up a small bottle of water. I went through the checkout and then went over to the Pizza Hut Express. I ordered myself a Pizza Melts, which comes with fries, two pieces of pizza stuck together with cheese, bacon and potato inside and two sauces. I asked them not to give me the tomato sauce and that was fine. I waited for my lunch box and then ate it. They were very nice to me and had taken out the tomato sauce and then given me an extra honey mustard sauce. Yay for that! Lunch was good. It was a tad small, but I enjoyed it. I drank the bottle of water with my lunch as the restaurant’s drinks were a bit pricey.

I visited Jupiter, the import shop and grabbed a bottle of Worcester Sauce that was on sale. It “expires” next month, but to be honest, it doesn’t really go bad. I keep mine in the fridge and I love it.

I also visited the Valentine’s Day Chocolate store and got myself a Terry’s Chocolate Orange. I got the dark chocolate one this year. Yum. I also got my grumpy husband something for Valentine’s day too. I’m much too nice!

I decided that I’d head back to the house and went to use the washroom, but then noticed that F had texted me to apologize and say that he loved me. I texted him back to ask if he’d like to join me for a coffee or if I should catch the bus in 9 minutes!

His text back said that he’d meet me but he had to change his clothes first. I went into Doutor, charged my app with some money, ordered myself a drink and found a table. F showed up about 20 minutes later and I got him a drink too. He asked me what I’d like to do for supper and then suggested going to Karaoke. Wow. Okay then….

We had to get a bento for K’s dinner and while we were in the grocery store he picked up a ehomaki, the long sushi rolls that people eat on Feb 2nd here. That was for us, but later on.

We dropped off the bento for K. I changed some of my clothing and hid the presents upstairs. Ha ha ha. Then, we were off. We got in right away at the karaoke box and even got the sound system that I wanted. We were in around 5:20 and we had to be out by 8 pm. Not bad at all. F and I picked out some food and F ordered it and then we got up to the important business of singing. The food was okay and the music was better. Towards the end, F got tired so I did more of the singing, but to be honest, I didn’t mind. I love karaoke! I did quite a few Canadian songs tonight, just because….

When we finished and left, we went to the grocery store across from the karaoke box. Of course, F being F, we took the long way round to get there! I think I managed to get all I needed for the next couple of nights for dinner. I also got stuff for breakfast for F and K and lunch for her for tomorrow too. I thought about me too and got stuff for my breakfast and lunch. Hurray for that.

Next up we went to a drugstore. I got myself a few things that I needed and a few snacks and almost necessities (hot chocolate mix). I also got an Amazon Card so that I can buy a book I’ve been wanting to buy. Yay me.

I went back to the car and then we went to the gas station and F bought us some kerosene for the house.

We came back to the house and I put the groceries away. F brought in the kerosene. We went upstairs and I turned on the heater and relaxed a bit. After a bit, we decided to have the ehomaki and F went downstairs and cut it into slices. We only had one so we couldn’t do the traditional facing one direction and not speaking thing!

I decided to watch something from the Fire Stick tonight so I chose to start the second season of Severance. It was so good! Oh my!  I really enjoyed it. It was almost worth waiting for. I hope they can keep the suspense going.

And that’s about it for the day. Tomorrow, F is back to work and so am I in a sense. I have to do the cooking and kitchen clean up tomorrow night. Hopefully, I don’t have to do it for the entire week though. Fingers crossed!

Come back later if you like and hear all about my day. Until tomorrow….
