Monday - Colder and cloudy

I woke up early this morning and turned on the TV. I was planning/hoping to watch the Academy Awards this morning. I did, but….the channel showed the awards in a dubbed version. Oh, good grief. I couldn’t hear some people’s speeches and I have no idea what Conan O’Brien said during the show. So, I watched it and enjoyed it but it was disappointing not to hear it. Anora did very well and I was pleased because we saw it on Sunday night. 

I had a quiet morning and early afternoon of course. I did eat, I grabbed my breakfast very early and I had a few other things too. Around 2 pm I took a short nap as I was quite tired. Afterwards, I went downstairs and made my lunch. I came back upstairs and ate. I watched another episode of The Walking Dead so I am done with last week’s episodes. Whoot. 

I watched some news and wondered again about world politics. I watched some YouTube and did a few things on my computer. F called after 5 pm and said he was on his way, so I eventually went downstairs and got a start on dinner. 

Tonight’s dinner was an easy one. It was just toaster oven chicken, broccoli, rice, potato salad, and salad. It was good. Unfortunately, F didn’t feel well after dinner, so he left the table before I could clear it. 

I cleared the table, did the dishes and closed the bags of plastic garbage. They went into the genkan for F to take out tomorrow. 

I said goodnight to K and then came upstairs. F was relaxing but not doing that well. I watched YouTube for a while and then went downstairs and took a shower.

When I came back to the room, F was asleep. I turned off his light and then came over to my computer. I had planned to watch a programme on the TV, but decided to watch it on my computer with headphones on instead. It was good. It was the episode of The Day of The Jackal that I had missed on Saturday. I watched it and it was good. I also did a few rows of knitting and started decreasing for the top of the hat. I may not be able to finish my hat as I’m running out of yarn. Oh dear. I may have to frog it and try it again with fewer stitches or something. I hope it works out, but I’m not sure. 

And that’s about it for me. Tomorrow I’m going to make curry for dinner at F’s request so I’ll have to start early. 

It was a good day but a bit quiet. I hope I get a few things done tomorrow. Come back later and see. Until tomorrow….
