Monday - Sunny yet coolish
I went to bed last night and F was still up. He said he wasn’t able to sleep and didn’t know why. I did. He had three cups of coffee yesterday. He had Starbucks and then two cups of coffee at the dealership. It’s more than he usually drinks during a day. I went to sleep, F didn’t. He got up and took a shower apparently.
When my alarm went off this morning he had left for work. I got up, went downstairs and then came back to the room. I set up the water pot, then sat on the bed and decided to give myself a pedicure. I was taking care of my nails and feet and F walked in the room. I think he was surprised to see me up and doing things! We chatted for a few minutes and then he had to go back to work.
I went back to bed a while later but I watched a few too many videos and only had a few minutes of snooze time!
I got up later and dressed. I went downstairs to make my breakfast. I also realized that K was doing laundry. Good for her, but I planned to do some today too. Unfortunately, K didn’t move her stuff out of the washing machine until quite late in the day. Sigh.
I had a quiet day upstairs. I brought clean towels downstairs to the kitchen and bathroom, I checked that K had eaten and that her food was obvious for her. Usual stuff.
I went downstairs to get my lunch around 2:45. I came upstairs afterwards and as I didn’t have a lot of time left, I watched an episode of The Bondsman. It was a humdinger actually.
I watched the 4 pm news and then turned off the TV when the English section was over. I watched a bit of YouTube until F called after 5:30.
I went downstairs soon after and got a start on dinner. I was busy tonight. I made a spicy side dish with Nila (a sort of chive), cut up some cucumbers into sticks, plated the salad and the potato salad and cooked the chicken. I got things on the table a few minutes after 7 and F came down to eat. K was up for a change and so she was ready to eat as well. F had set up the rice cooker last night and so we had some of the rice.
After dinner I got to do the dishes but I was very unmotivated! It took a while to get started. I got them done as there wasn’t too many for a change. Hurray. I also did up the plastic garbage as there won’t be any for the next two weeks due to Golden Week holidays.
I told F I was going upstairs and did. I realized that the kerosene heater’s tank in our room was nearly empty so brought it downstairs to fill, but F offered to do it for me. He’s a sweetie sometimes!
I watched a few minutes of YouTube and then went and took a shower. When I came back to the room I watched another episode of Gotham and liked it. This one had Julian Sands in it and it was a little sad. I always liked him as an actor, even when he was playing scary people like he was here. F kept chatting to me during the show and I’m afraid I really didn’t want to chat back! However, I did. It’s rare for him to talk to me at night so I should encourage it! I also did a partial row on my hexagon sweater, so that was good. I really need to work on it before the weather gets too hot.
Around midnight I turned off the TV and got stuck into my late night computer things. That basically brings you up to date with me!
Tomorrow, I need to start doing laundry. I’ll also be cooking and possibly some prep work for dinner.
