Wednesday - Hot and Sunny
I had a rather miserable night last night. When I went to bed I couldn’t sleep as I was either coughing or too plugged up to breathe. I finally managed to drop off and get a bit of sleep but someone woke me up at 6 am swearing that he was going to take me to the doctor at 8:30 am. I was actually asleep then so I wasn’t too happy to be woken up.
I didn’t manage to get much more sleep. I was either coughing or plugged up. It was also so incredibly hot in our room that I was sweating and soaking wet. F got up at one point and turned the AC back on and that made me a bit cold. I got up a bit after 8:30, got dressed and a little after 9 am we headed off for the doctor’s office.
Because I had a high temperature this morning, I had to sit in the quarantine section of the clinic. It took us a long time to be seen, but finally we saw the doctor. F went in first which is fine, but when I went in with F, the doctor didn’t even talk to me. I used to see his father sometimes and he’d speak a little English to me and would make me feel like I was his patient. I dunno. We got our prescriptions, paid, and went over to the drugstore.
F wanted to have lunch so I suggested one of his favourite places, Okazaki. We went over and were able to get a table. Today’s lunch was deep fried oysters and sashimi. We both had that, it was good.
After lunch we came back to the house via a convenience store. We picked up some ice cream and a couple of ice cafe lattes, then went back to the house. F rested for a bit, but then had to leave to go to work. He only took the morning off.
I relaxed most of the afternoon. The medicine made me feel a lot better right away, so that was good. I had breakfast for lunch. I wasn’t terribly hungry, but I had to eat in order to have medicine! I watched an episode of Elspeth which was cute.
F called a bit after 5 pm to say he was on the way back. I went downstairs around 6 to get dinner underway. Today I did premade burgers, potato wedges, gobo salad, cucumber pickle and salad. Dinner was pretty good and got decent reviews.
After dinner, I cleared the table and did the dishes. I was getting quite tired by the end of the time. I also had to do the garbage tonight. F helped me with some of K’s stuff. I went upstairs and got my stuff ready to let F take part of my garbage bag. He took it downstairs when he was done and I think took it out to the station.
I took a shower and got back to the room in time to watch Grey’s Anatomy. It was an odd one, the first episode of the new season. I’ve no idea which one that is!
And that’s about it for my day. Tomorrow I’m have a few things that I need to do, but hopefully I can relax a bit and get some rest as well.
