Saturday - Cloudy then sunny and hot

I got up this morning just after 9pm. I went downstairs, F and K had left for the Day Service place. I came back to the room and had a mini snooze for a while. F came back and we got ready to go out. 

We had to go to the doctor’s office. Our “appointment” was at 11am, but we didn’t get to see the doctor until 12:30 or later. After that we had to visit the pharmacy so it was almost 2pm before we able to think about lunch. I came up with a couple of ideas but then F suggested sushi. We ended up at Kintaro Sushi and had a lovely, if a tad expensive lunch. It really was good though. 

We did a touch of shopping after lunch and then went over to Komeda Coffee for Kaki-gori. We both had the chai flavoured one and it was gorgeous. I like it because it isn’t sweet like a lot of them. Unfortunately, F got a little ill during our time there. We went back to the house, but stopped at a grocery store first for food for K.

We came back to the house. I came upstairs and it was hot again in the room. It was over 30 degrees so I stripped off my outer clothes and turned on the AC. F really was having a bad time with his stomach and said that he didn’t think he could go out tonight. He wasn’t even sure if he could go out for dinner. Yikes.  I suggested that he take some medicine and see how he felt in a bit.

He gave his mother her bento around 7 pm and then decided he felt well enough to go out for dinner. He suggested a family run restaurant with decent food and that’s where we went. 

After dinner, F gave the okay to try going to the movie too, so we drove over near Machi-ne Kinema. We were a tad too early, so we stopped at a drug store for some drinks. Machi-ne Kinema allows outside drinks as they don’t sell drinks anymore. 

A few minutes later after we paid, we arrived at the cinema. F had a free movie coupon, so he used that so it was a cheap night at the movies. We went to see We Live in Time with Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield. It was really good. The acting was top notch, the story was good, a bit funny and a lot sad. We both enjoyed the film. Sadly, there were only 4 or 5 people in the cinema. I hope more people go to see it.

We came back to the house after the movie. F seemed to be feeling better, but headed off to bed quite quickly. I didn’t watch my Saturday night show, but that’s okay. I can catch up with it next week probably. 

And that’s about it for today. It turned out to be a good day. I do hope that F is feeling better tomorrow. We might go and see another movie. Surprisingly, there are 3 movies in English in the area. That doesn’t happen often. Actually, there are more, but we’ve seen them. We’ve got two left…can we see them both this long weekend? No idea!
