Friday - Rainy in the am, humid and sunny later on.
I had a weird thing happen before bed. I kept hearing a noise, like when you plug your phone in but there’s a loose connection. I had to get up and track it down. I decided that it must be F’s phone. It was plugged in, but the cord wasn’t plugged in! I checked and his phone was only at 55% so I decided to take his phone and plug it in on my side of the bed. I did that.
I slept quite well until this morning. I woke up around 6 or something. F was playing on his computer in bed and I told him where his phone was. I garbled a reason, but I’m not sure if he understood what I meant. I instantly fell back asleep!
I woke up again when F was getting ready for work. I asked him if he got his phone and he said he did. I dozed a little more, but got up a couple of minutes after he left.
I went downstairs and then came back to bed, watched a couple of videos and then fell fast asleep for much too long.
When I woke up, I found a recent message from a friend. She’s in Tsuruoka and she invited me to meet up with her tomorrow. I texted back and forth a bit, and we’ll meet up. We’ll be meeting before I usually get up these days. Sigh! I hope I can wake up in time!
I had a fairly quiet morning and afternoon. I did a couple of loads of laundry, I watched too much YouTube. I went downstairs around 2:45 to make my lunch. K actually talked to me today! She was asking about kakigori! She’d found the note that F had left her yesterday to tell her we were having dessert. She thought it meant that there was kakigori in the fridge or something and wanted to know where! I had to tell her that there wasn’t any.
I did text F later to ask him if we could have some tonight too since she seemed to like it, enough to ask me for it! He said it was okay.
I ate my lunch upstairs and watched Buffy The Vampire Slayer. It was her 17th birthday one, the one where she went all the way with Angel. It was one of the first episodes that I liked! It was only part one, so I knew I’d have to watch the second part soon.
I finished by watching the news and doing my computer stuff. After that, F called and I headed downstairs a few minutes later. I got started on dinner.
Tonight being Friday, I made pasta. I need something easy for the end of the week. Tonight we had spaghetti with a yuzu soy-sauce sauce. We had some sliced chicken breast, pickled cucumbers, potato salad, and salad. Most of it disappeared and it was good. F and I did make kaki-gori again afterwards, and K was quite happy about it!
I did the dishes after dinner and put everything away. I was quite tired as the kitchen was really hot and humid.
I went upstairs and a few minutes later F joined me. However, he went to sleep almost right away! I took a shower and then came back upstairs to watch the second part of the Buffy The Vampire Slayer I had watched earlier. It was good too. Funny, the show is getting better, just as they are going to take it off my streaming service. Sigh.
Well, that’s about it for me. Since midnight I’ve been watching YouTube and working on this blog.
