Thursday - Sunny and warmish
I woke up before my alarm this morning, but F had left already. I went downstairs and then came back to the room. I thought about going back to bed, so I did. I watched some videos on my phone and never did fall back asleep. I got up quite a bit earlier than I have this week. I dressed and eventually went downstairs.
I made my breakfast and then brought it back up to the room. I ate and relaxed. It was nice! After I ate I watched a bit of YouTube and then decided that I should start working on my Christmas Cards. I wrote two, and checked on an address for another person. It’s a bit sad as Japan still isn’t accepting mail for Canada as the posties are on strike again. Sigh.
I went downstairs later to grab my lunch and while I was in the kitchen F called me. He said he was coming back to the house for a little while. I was nearly finished making my lunch when he arrived. I went upstairs with my lunch and F came afterwards. I gave him some hot water for coffee and he chilled out a bit. I watched an episode of NCIS: Los Angeles again.
I relaxed after lunch and did some internet stuff. I watched the news and then I got a call from the takkyubin company. I’d been expecting a delivery all day and finally it had arrived. The driver didn’t speak Japanese but I mostly understood. He was nearby or outside and was wondering if I was here. I said I was and went downstairs and turned on the lights outside. He brought me my package and nicely put it on the step inside for me. That was that.
I went back upstairs with my package and put it in its place. I went back to my computer and a couple of minutes later, F called to say he was on his way back to the house. I agreed to go downstairs to get a start on dinner after that.
F arrived just as I was getting ready to do the dishes. Tonight I made taco rice. Basically, tacos but on rice. F chose rice, I would have preferred tortillas. I have some in the freezer. Next time! During the day I had set up some yogurt to drain to make fake sour cream. Unfortunately, the store last night didn’t have any sour cream! I added some canned corn and a cut up onion to the taco meat mixture. Dinner was good. K even had a little bit extra meat too! F had extras too.
After dinner, I did the dishes and then went upstairs to relax. I watched a bit of YouTube and then went downstairs to take a shower.
I came back to the room and then watched tonight’s episode of The Rookie. It brought back a baddie from earlier this season, plus there was some football going on. Yawn. I got a couple of rows of my hat done tonight too. Yay for me.
That’s about it for my day. I’m hoping that tomorrow I can get some laundry done and also some more Christmas cards!
