Thursday - Snowy and cold
I woke up with my alarm this morning, not earlier. That was nice. I did my usual thing of sleeping late, but got up eventually and got dressed. Today I decided to make some oatmeal for myself. Of course, it boiled over in the microwave so I had to clean that up. It was nice to have it for a change though.
I had a quiet afternoon. I went down early for lunch and prepped a marinade for the meat for dinner tonight, and prepared an onion boil too. Then, I did my lunch and took it upstairs. It was good. I did watch another episode of The Good Fight while I ate it.
F called around 5:30 and actually made it back to the house before I went downstairs. I was a bit caught up in something. Tonight’s dinner was good. We had the coro-coro steak, onion boil, salad, potato salad, kimchi and some cheese sticks I rescued from the freezer. Dinner was quite nice actually.
I did the dishes afterwards and then I went upstairs to change my clothes. We went over to Mina and bought groceries for tomorrow and then F drove us over to the gas station where he bought some kerosene. We only made one wrong turn on the way to the gas station. Sigh. F has lived here almost all of his life, so why do I know the city better than him in places?
We came back to the house where he put the kerosene away. I filled up our tank from upstairs and K’s tank in the living room too. F was a dear and took the tank upstairs for me.
I watched the last couple of episodes of Lynley tonight and really enjoyed them. F did his usual distracting thing of talking to me 5 minutes before the end of the show. I really wanted to tell him to stop talking to me!
Well, that’s about it for me for today. I didn’t work on my column at all, and I’m not sure I’ll work on it tomorrow or not. Come back later and find out!
