Sunday - Sunny but cool, rainy at night
I was angry going to bed last night and I was angry this morning too. I woke up fairly early and then went downstairs. I came back to bed and slept for a while. F even came back to bed for a while but I wouldn’t talk to him!
I got up and was planning to go and catch a bus to downtown, but I took too long on my computer. A little after that, F asked if I wanted to go for lunch so I said I would.
Today we went to the new Taiwanese restaurant again. They have a very low cost lunch so that’s what we did. F ordered the liver and nila set meal and I ordered hoikoro set meal which was fine, but I really wanted subuta! I got the meals mixed up. Oh well.
After lunch I needed a mailbox so that I could send my Postcrossings from yesterday. We found one and then F just started driving. We weren’t talking much yet so I asked him if he was just out for a drive and he said he was. That was nice. We drove down to the Kamo port and F got out of the car to check out the fisher people. He came back to the car and we drove back via the ocean front. That was nice
We came back into Tsuruoka and decided to go to Cafe B-Flat. They’ve been closed since December and we wanted a drink. We were able to go in and had drinks. F had coffee and I had a cup of Darjeeling tea.
We came back to the house after this and I came upstairs to relax. F was downstairs for a long time but came upstairs. We talked about grocery shopping and then dinner. I suggested Gusto as I had some points on a card I wanted to use.
F made dinner for his mother and then we went to the grocery store. We bought groceries for the next couple of days and then brought it back to the house. I brought the food into the house and put it away while F stayed in the car.
After that, we went off to Gusto. The parking lot was really busy and we had to wait for a few minutes before we were seated. We ordered and a few minutes later we got our food. I had the new Gusto Smash Burger again and added on a salad too. F had the kara-age I think. We enjoyed our meal and the drink bar, but finally left a bit after 9pm.
We came back to the house and relaxed for a bit. I watched the last episode of The Handmaid’s Tale and it was quite good. I’m glad this last season was a bit less bleak than some of the other years.
I took a quick break and then watched another episode of Evil. It was quite a scary one tonight, all about a nurse who was not a good person or nurse for that matter.
And that’s about it for my day. I’d like to get to bed soon as tomorrow morning I have to get up early to watch the Academy Awards. Last year NHK put them on but dubbed the whole thing, let’s hope they don’t do that this year!
