Monday - Rainy and cooler all day
After our nice weekend it was hard to go back to normal today. Still, it had to be done. F went off to work today and I did my usual waking up and then going back to bed for another snooze.
I got up later, dressed and went downstairs. I got my breakfast stuff and then brought it back to the room to eat. I had a quiet morning and afternoon. Today I decided that I’d write a couple of postcards for Postcrossing. I ended up doing three over the afternoon.
I went downstairs around 3 today to get my lunch. I brought it up to the room and ate while watching an episode of Breaking Bad. It’s funny and weird all at once! I followed that up with the news.
Around 6 pm I went downstairs to get a start on dinner. Tonight I made a stew rather quickly. I think it turned out well. I took some ground pork, added in an onion thinly sliced and some mushrooms and new potatoes. At the end I put in a few frozen peas for colour. I think dinner was good. I was a little late getting it done, but doing a stew in an hour is pretty fast!
After dinner I did the dishes and then headed upstairs. F was already in bed, but I requested that he make more rice for tomorrow. He set up the rice cooker.
Around 10:30 I went downstairs to take a shower. No big deal about that. I did my shower and then came back upstairs. F was bordering on being asleep so I went into my part of the room and watched another episode of Evil. It was quite an odd episode. This is the last season of it and I’m curious how they’ll end it.
After midnight I turned off the TV and started to do my end of day things. I got F to take my postcards so that he can mail them near his office tomorrow. Yay for that. I’m sending to Germany, the US and the Czech Republic. I’m sure the card to Germany will arrive first!
And that’s it for me for today. I’m not sure what I’ll get up to tomorrow. Come back later if you like and hear all about my day. Until tomorrow….
