April 16, 2008 - Wednesday

Cloudy, but not rainy. Yes!

Today was a relaxing day. Hurray! I got up this morning, dressed and then watched a bit of TV and did some internet stuff for a while.

In the afternoon I went out. First I went to the post office where I picked up my lovely new iPod carrying bag, then to S-Mall.

At S-Mall, I first went upstairs to the DVD store. Didn't buy anything, but noted that Sweeney Todd will be out at the start of June. I imagine Fumihiko will be getting that one! I went to the hundred yen store, restrained myself a little, and then went to the grocery store where I bought a cheap avocado, some pasta sauce, and some herbal tea.

I finished up by going to Doutours for coffee. I originally planned on having coffee, but changed my mind and had a sandwich and iced Royal Milk Tea. Their version is very nice and it doesn't have sugar so it isn't too sweet. It was busy there, but not terribly crowded. However, there were only two people working behind the counter and the dishes were really piled up. I almost felt like going behind the counter and washing them. Almost. I didn't! I sat and ate my sandwich, drank my tea, and started reading The Full Cupboard of Life. This is the novel that I should have started on Monday! It was delightful as always. I've now finished chapter 4, so I read quite a bit at the coffee shop.

I came home and took a couple of pictures of my iPod case for the maker (and my blog...see below this entry) then Fumihiko came home. He tried to get to his doctor's tonight, but was a little late. He came back and wanted to go for dinner, but there was an interesting program on the TV about the Olympics and swimming and diving. Since the pool competitions are almost my favourite part of the Olympics, we watched it. Greg Louganis was on of course and my heart went pitter-pat. I was so in love with him back in his day! I even taped a picture of him inside my diary...and I never did that with anybody else.

We finally went out and had dinner at Bronco. I had steak and Fumihiko had yakiniku. I've been working on a stamp card for that place for a while, and we got a 1000 yen discount tonight, so hubby was happy!

We also sent off a package tonight to a couple that had a baby last month. We'd gotten them baby clothes and were worried that the baby might outgrow them before we delivered them otherwise!

We stopped off at McDonalds for a drink then went to the grocery store to get a few things. After that, home.

Fumihiko went to bed a long time ago. He's tired today and his back is really bad too. I feel so sorry for him. I really do. There isn't much I can do to help him though, just put sticky plaster on his back to try to ease the pain.

Well, that was my day. It was good really. Tomorrow my new Thursday schedule starts. I'll be late tomorrow night. Sigh. Hopefully the neighbours won't complain about the noise!

Wish me luck. Night night.
