March 10, 2009 - Tuesday

Cool day, but snow is forecast for tomorrow. Sigh.

Today was a bit different than usual, because I had to go to my school early for a change. I woke up and got up right away, then had a shower before the news came on. I watched the news, made the bed and then spent a couple of hours on my computer. Part of it WAS work, I was looking for some homework for my student. He's having a bit of a leave for the next 3 weeks.

I had an early for me lunch, then headed out. I rode to a convenience store, got a couple of things to eat for later on, then went to the school.

Classes were fine today. In between my first two I had a break of 2 hours. I didn't waste it. I found my old receipts from my first year of being open and I filed them away finally. I also put last year's receipts into filing as well. I was planning to bring up all of my bookkeeping to date, but I didn't quite manage. However, I got it done as far as the end of January, so I'm not very behind now.

My evening classes went quite well I think. The children's lesson went well, this student learns very quickly. The adult lesson later on also was good, and we had a good chat.

After I cleaned up the school I called Fumihiko to ask him to come and get me. He was at his mother's. Okay. He picked me up and we drove home. I tried to ask him about his day, but I either got one word answers or answers that showed he didn't want to talk to me. It was upsetting. He didn't even ask me anything about my day.

When we came home I started cooking dinner. I set the table, made coffee, got the potatoes going in the frypan. I had to ask him a couple of times to come and cook the fish. He was going to grill it. I told him off about not asking about my day, and about not talking in the car. He did say that he didn't like to talk while he was driving, so I guess he has a kind of excuse, but ever since he got home he buried his nose into his cell phone's chat room. He's doing a bit too much of that these days if you ask me.

Anyway, dinner was quite nice. We had Swiss potatoes with fine herbs, grilled trout salmon, and microwaved spinach with a little cheese in it. It was quite nice. After dinner, I took myself off to my computer, where I wrote a letter to a student's mum. I gave it to Fumihiko to translate, so he spent all night doing that. It was sweet of him to do it.

Around 11 I watched The Actor's Studio with Matt Damon. It was nice to see him on the show. He's quite an intelligent guy.

Fumihiko went to be around 1 and if I'm smart (I'm not!) I'll go there as soon as I can. I'm not that tired though.

We are forecast for snow, but I'm hoping they are wrong. I don't want to get out my snow gear again. Keep your fingers crossed please!

Night.
