Cloudy and rainy all day.
I stayed up really late last night watching an interesting movie. It was about a sex worker in London. It was a low-key film, but quite engrossing. It starred Marianne Faithful and was called Irina Palm. It was becoming daylight when I finally went to bed.
I had set an alarm for myself before I went to bed, but I couldn't get up. I slept on for a bit and then finally did. After I got up, I started making our brunch. We had leftover quiche heated up, the last of the tomatoes, some stir fried zucchini and a hash brown patty each. It was nice!
After that we had a very quiet and relaxing afternoon. I slept quite a bit, and I think hubby did too.
We finally roused ourselves later on and decided to try and see the waterfall that hub had wanted to take me to last week. But, we were hungry, so we had a light meal at the soba shop. After that, we set off.
We ended up driving in the mountains, some areas were really scary as there were no people around. Heck, it wasn't just people, there were no buildings, lights or cars anywhere. A breakdown or a flat tire would have been quite nasty. Anyway, we finally find the place where the waterfalls are, but there are no lights. We did see a few fireflies and that was cool. F climbed up to look at the sign and it said that the waterfall is lit up in August. We were a bit too early!
We drove back towards Tsuruoka and had dinner proper in Mikawa at the Cocos. I had chicken with garlic, F had seafood curry. He had dessert with his, which he tried to pawn off on me later. I didn't accept. If I'd wanted dessert, I would have ordered it!
We came home via the grocery store. We got a few things for breakfast and then came home. Saw the end of a Harry Potter film on TV, then I watched a really dumb movie on WOWOW. I'm now taping 28 Weeks Later. I can't watch horror films at night by myself, so I'll hopefully watch it tomorrow in the daytime. If it's any good.
Anyway, that's about it for me. It was a pretty good day. I don't know if hubby liked it...but I did. Night!
