Hot, with rain.
I went to bed reasonably early last night, especially considering it was a Saturday night. I did manage to wake up before 12 so F wasn't too upset with me either. In fact, he told me that the circus that he wanted to go to started at 3:00 pm. And it was a little after 12 when he told me, so I got dressed and we headed out to the mall in Mikawa.
We had lunch at one of the restaurants in the mall, and then spent a bit of time shopping. F decided to be a goofy guy and in one of my favourite stores, set three of their kitchen timers to come off in 3 minutes or so. Then he followed me all over the store. When the alarms went off, no one but me seemed to notice.
We got fairly good seats at the circus. F paid a little extra for assigned seats, so we were in the front row. We didn't have a family box, but that was okay by me. That would have been too close. I had been worried about going because I don't like animal acts, but the circus only had one, a dog act. The animals all looked in good condition and like they were enjoying themselves so not bad. There were a lot of acrobatic acts, tumbling, balancing, contortionists, and the finale was a trapeze act. It was kind of cool. I haven't seen a live show for so long, I forgot how much fun it is.
After the circus we went for an ice cream to Baskin Robbins. I had Jamoca Oreo and a little Tea and Scones. Yummy.
We went over to Sakata for dinner, to Naranda. We haven't had Indian food for a while, so I was missing it. I had tandori chicken. I still say mine is better, but I haven't made it for a while. The naan was good though.
We drove home afterwards, making a quick stop for milk at the store. I didn't even get out of the car.
We spent a quiet evening at home. F did more translating for me, this time the holiday letter for my students. Yay him. We didn't watch any TV or anything either. I played a few games on my computer.
So that was my day. This was one of the best weekends I've had in ages. Wish they could all be this good. Night!
(PS The headache came back tonight. I'm hoping a good night's sleep will stop it again.)
(PPS Happy birthday to that funny little kid I like to call my niece, cause that's what she is!)
