Sunny and warm, lovely day.
I am presently reliving a small part of my youth at the moment. I'm sitting up watching Duran Duran on WOWOW. I still remember all the words to all the songs I knew back then. And, dang they were cute! That Simon Le Bon. Yummy!
Anyway....on with the daily report. I had a quiet but good morning. I did get up and watched news. It was on. Hurray! There were actually a few things on before the baseball game, so I watched some of them.
I had an early class today, so I watched the Russell Crowe movie, A Good Year, and cooked and ate my lunch. Then I set off for work.
I made it to my school in good time and had a good day at the school. All of my students showed up, although the last one only popped in to say she couldn't come today! And I also had a visitation from a couple of the Mormon missionaries, but I was in class and couldn't talk to them.
F picked me up after I finished my classes and we came home. I started cooking right away. I made pork stirfry and it was really nice. I managed to cook it so the carrots and some of the cabbage was still a little crunchy. It was great. After dinner, I looked at the paper and discovered there was a movie on, Nim's Island, so we watched that. It was okay, Jodie Foster was great of course, but there wasn't enough to the film.
That's about it for my day.... except of course for Duran Duran. The film of their concert was one of those High Concept thingys. They had Duran Duran, the character from Barbarella trying to take over the concert. That part was quite dumb, but the boys were Fine.
Tomorrow is my day off. I may not have a Wednesday off for a bit, so I probably should go out and enjoy it. Plus, I have to write my column! Night.

Another Duranie!!!!
I loved Nick.
I got to relive my teen years a few years ago when they toured Japan. It was so much fun! I made a BFF waiting in line and we sneaked up to the front. They played my favorite song first! (Friends of Mine of the first album)
When was the Barbarella concept concert filmed? I haven't really kept up with them since puberty finished and I discovered the Cure
It was Arena from 1985. It wasn't new, but still a lot of their video techniques look new!
Oh no, you forgot about Duran Duran because of The Cure? I had a friend at college who loved them. The Cure always seemed so dark. I never really got into them.
Thanks for visiting!
