Friday the 13th — Cloudy.
An okay day today.
I dragged myself out of bed this morning, but it was touch and go for a bit. I noticed that I had received an email from a student’s mother cancelling a lesson tomorrow. Sigh. She emailed me at 8 am. Oh-dear-dear-dear. I will have to gently educate her!
I had a quiet day at home. There was an English movie on WOWOW this morning. Unfortunately it wasn’t a GOOD English movie, but I watched it anyway. It was quite bad. Shining Through, the old Melanie Griffith/Michael Douglas film. It’s bad when the best thing about the movie was Liam Neeson as a Nazi.
I had a couple of chocolate bagels that F brought back yesterday. They were yummy. I did my computer stuff and I also watched a bit of TV and did a little bit of crochet. I rewatched the double episode of Grey’s Anatomy’s finale. It was quite a good one, with lots of sad moments.
F came home around 5:30 or so and after a bit I started dinner. I got him to tell me what to do,and I did the work. It was good today! We had eggplant and pork saute and potatoes gratin. We also had a salad with that. Very yum. The pork and the potatoes were made using a supermarket mix, but were really nice. We were both quite impressed!
I did the dishes tonight as I made F do some translating for me. I need to change a textbook soon and I want the student’s mother to okay me ordering the new one. He spent some time doing it and then he helped me by translating a quick note to another student’s mother. I sent that one off by email.
I sat on the couch for a couple of hours watching Glee and Desperate Housewives and did more crochet. I have finished up row 6 of the shawl’s edging. Two more rows to go. I really like it. I just wish the yarn was better quality. It’s not bad but there were so many knots in the wool. I’m going to have fun darning in all the ends.
Anyway, Supernatural is on soon and I might go and sit on the couch and watch it. I’m hoping to get more crochet done too. Wish me luck with that. Night!
