Thursday - Cloudy then lots of rain at night.
An okay day. I got up when my alarm went off. I dithered about going back to bed but didn’t. Yay. I got up and stayed up.
I showered and then got stuck into my computer stuff. I had a quiet day at home really. There was nothing good on TV so I put on a movie, The Importance of Being Earnest. It was okay. The actors were great (Colin Firth, Rupert Everett, Judi Dench, Reese Witherspoon) but where they had tried to update the film it just didn’t work. Still, a noble effort and Dench was good as Lady Bracknell.
I decided to go out to the mall in the afternoon. It was cloudy out, but not raining, so thought I’d risk it. I had a nice cycle to the mall and parked my bike. That was fun as there were a lot of bicycles in the bike parking. I think every high school student must have parked their bike there!
I hacked the 100 yen shop and didn’t find exactly what I was looking for. They always seem to stop selling the things that I like just when I want more! This time I wanted a file folder for my husband. He tried to pinch mine the other day. I’d bought myself one in pink specifically because I thought he wouldn’t want it, but he did! I got him a bigger file, hopefully it will do for him.
I went downstairs to Doutors and had their new tea, Royal Marsala Chai and a sandwich. I sat in the coffee shop and ate and read my Journal. I’m still working on it. Today I was reading the obituary of a woman from my group. I’d never met her, but I had to stop reading as I was tearing up.
I came home after that. I checked the grocery store and the bakery but didn’t buy anything. I had a nice ride home too, still not raining and got home rather quickly.
I did a bit of crochet when I got home and that’s what I was doing when F came home. We talked about dinner and where to go and I suggested a few places. F was okay with one of them, then suggested going to Pizza Hut. That’s where we went!
We had a medium pizza with bulgogi and barbecued chicken on it, plus drinks and some cheese popons. It was good, but we were the only people in the restaurant. It was quite funny, when we first went in, we couldn’t see or hear anyone in the place, despite calling out. I finally moved the door again so the bell rang and that was when the waitress or cook came out to greet us!
After dinner we bought a few groceries and then came home. We’re (I’m) going to cook tomorrow night. I’m using some of the prepackaged sauces. I’m hoping that this way it’ll be a little more Asian/Japanese for F. I don’t cook Japanese food. And, I don’t really like what he cooks when he cooks for me.
I watched Royal Pains at 11 on WOWOW and crocheted up a storm! I’m on row five of the edging now. Three and a half more to go. Three more balls of yarn. Wish me luck!
That was really it for my day. I sorted out the garbage for tomorrow. F had done it last week, but hadn’t actually taken the garbage out. Funny how that works! I take it to the door for him so he has almost no choice but to take it out with him! Got to go. Night!
