A good day. I overslept a bit today, but I didn’t really care. I got up and one of the first things I did today was to press my shawl. I took quite a bit of time doing it, but finally it was ready. I hung it up and took a couple of photos of it. I’ll post the best one here.
I had a quiet afternoon at home. I had a nice lunch and spent some time on my computer. Pretty boring really. I also did a couple of loads of laundry.
F came home around 6 and a little later I got dinner started. We had ginger pork and salad with celery, plus a couple of kabocha croquettes each. The packet said I should deep fry them, but I baked them in my toaster oven instead. I really don’t like to deep fry things. They were slightly dryer than they should be, but probably better for us! Dinner was quite delicious.
After dinner, we vegged for a bit and then went out. We needed new milk and some groceries for tomorrow night. We also stopped off at McDonalds for some ice cream. I had mine in a sundae, F had a milkshake! It made a nice end to the meal.
We came home and have been quiet for a while. I’m going to watch Royal Pains in a bit and do a bit more crochet. I’ve got this doily to try to finish. I hope I can get a few more rows done tonight. Wish me luck.
That ’s it for me. I’m writing early because I really want to get to bed a bit earlier. The next couple of weeks will be busy ones so I need my beauty sleep! Night!
I retouched the colour slightly in the picture below.

Lovely.. I have no talent when it comes to those kinds of things....
Thank you!
It did turn out well. And you'd really be surprised. There weren't any unusual stitches or anything in the pattern, it was quite painless to make!
I really like it. Great job! Where did you find the pattern or is it your own design.
Thanks Sherry.
I found the pattern on Ravelry.com. It's a free pattern (which is nice too!) and it's free to join. It's a tad like Facebook, but for knitters and crocheters. If you join up, please friend me!
