Sunday - Cloudy and rainy
A nice day. I slept in quite late as I didn’t go to bed until it was getting light this morning. Dearie me.
F and I went out for lunch and on the way renewed my membership at the craft store. I get some good deals and some discounts from them so it’s worth it.
We had a nice lunch at New York, New York. I had a new chicken dish with salad bar and F had a hamburger dish.
After lunch we drove across the parking lot and went to the glasses shop. F needed a new pair of glasses. One of the nose pieces has broken off his and they are old and heavy. I’m getting new ones too. I wasn’t sure if it was completely necessary, but I got my eyes checked and it looks like the new ones will help me see even better close up, so yay. I wasn’t too happy at first as I had a hard time finding frames I liked, but in the end I managed. Surprisingly, this shouldn’t be all that expensive. I remember hearing how very expensive Japanese glasses were, but this store’s aren’t.
We spent hours in the shop, really. It was after six thirty when we left. I insisted that we go to the mall to get F’s mother a present for Mothers Day. He got her some flowers and a few nice munchies too. He dropped me off at home and then delivered them.
We had a nice dinner in Grado tonight. I had broccoli and bamboo root carbonara, and F had the “Gambare Nippon” special. He got both meat and fish with that one, plus dessert. It looked pretty good.
After dinner we did a bit of grocery shopping and then came home. We had some tea and some nice munchies from the place that we both F’s Mum’s stuff. Very nice.
F had his bath quite late, after watching the F1 racing. I stayed up watching Veronica Mars but I’ll likely go to bed soon. I want to be conscious for most of tomorrow!
